Speaking truth to race-hustlers

by Michelle Malkin on Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Right on:

(h/t Sissy Willis via F.A.M.)

And right on again, from Jerome Hudson via Human Events:

Like most Americans, I’ve had enough with this administration’s policies. I was fed up and fired up.

I am even more so in the wake of the most moving gathering I’ve ever been privileged to be a part of.

At one point, some of the people attending the Rev. Al Sharpton’s “counter rally,” coined “Reclaiming King,” stopped me. I guess they must have been judging me by the color of my skin not the content of my character, because they asked if I was going to come join them.

“No, I won’t be there,” I told them. “Why?” one of them asked with a grimace on his face. I looked at him and said, “I want to be where the Lord is and the Lord is in this place.”

Two Crazy Greens

by Alan Caruba on Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

For a few hours on Wednesday the nation’s attention was on James J. Lee who took hostages at the Discovery Communications headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. Negotiations failed to sway him from his mission or free his hostages. Lee was a Green zealot and police were left with no alternative than to shoot Lee dead.

Every movement has its crazies, but not every movement is as crazy as the one that calls itself “environmental.” Almost entirely devoid of any real scientific justification, the Greens have devoted decades to literally inventing one bogus crisis after another, culminating with “global warming.”

At the heart of the Green philosophy is the belief that the Earth’s problems are all caused by human beings.

“Humanity are the most destructive, filthy, pollutive creatures around and are wrecking what’s left of the planet with their false morals and breeding culture,” Lee wrote in an eleven-point Internet communiqué.

“Saving the Planet means…decreasing the Human population. That means stopping the human race from breeding any more disgusting human babies”, said Lee. “The planet does not need humans.”

We can dismiss Lee as a lunatic, but what are we to do regarding Dr. John P. Holdren, the top science advisor to President Obama?

In a new book, “Control Freaks”, Terence P. Jeffrey, the Editor-in-Chief of CNSnews.com, devotes several pages to Dr. Holdren, along with his colleague, Dr. Paul R. Ehrlich, the author of the 1968 bestseller “The Population Bomb.” Both academics have collaborated over the years and both share a contempt for humanity that can only come from fevered, delusional minds devoted to intellectual theories.

Terrific: Bankrupt Freddie Mac hires “diversity officer”

by Michelle Malkin on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Taxpayer-supported mortgage behemoth Freddie Mac — yes, the same government-sponsored entity that is sucking $64 billion of your money to stay afloat — is proud to announce that it is squandering more of your bucks on a “diversity officer:”

Freddie Mac, the government-controlled mortgage buyer, on Monday named Subha V. Barry to head its newly formed office of diversity and inclusion.

As chief diversity officer, Barry will work with the company’s business units to ensure they’re maximizing opportunities in diverse markets. She will also ensure the company is utilizing diverse talent among its employee and suppliers, and developing strategies focused on the needs of a diverse work force.

Barry will also design the new executive diversity council.

You can thank diversity-mongering Maxine Waters for stuffing the race preference mandates into the financial “reform” law.

Expect more cronyism of color on the public dime.

So much for MLK’s dream, eh?

Hurricane Katrina and the race card: 5 years later

by Michelle Malkin on Friday, August 27th, 2010

President Obama is headed to New Orleans this weekend to mark the 5th anniversary of Katrina. The papers and airwaves will be clogged with all sorts of retrospectives. My column today reminds you of the ugly racial demagoguery by leading Democrats and “civil rights” leaders from Jimmy Carter to Charlie Rangel to Malik Zulu Shabazz. It’s a divide that has also deepened in Obama’s imaginary age of post-racialism.

Related from Charles Krauthammer: The last refuge of a liberal. “What’s a liberal to do? Pull out the bigotry charge, the trump that preempts debate and gives no credit to the seriousness and substance of the contrary argument. The most venerable of these trumps is, of course, the race card.”

Hurricane Katrina and the race card: 5 years later

This weekend, on the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, civil rights activists and hip-hop stars will hold what they call a “healing ceremony” to commemorate the disaster. President Obama will speak at a separate event in New Orleans on Sunday. But don’t expect any of these reconciliation-seeking leaders to confront the indelible stain of racial demagoguery left by the left in Katrina’s aftermath. Hating George W. Bush means never having to say you’re sorry.

The Olympic gold medal for racial grievance-mongering went to rapper Kanye West, who railed during a supposedly nonpolitical nationwide telethon that the government was shooting “us,” that “those are my people down there,” and that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people!” West’s vulgar exploitation of a charity drive — which was meant to unite America — left most viewers with the same aghast, frozen expression as the one on comedian Mike Myers’ face as he tried to rescue their fundraising segment from the sewage.

Not to be outdone, the Congressional Black Caucus convened a press conference to blast news reporters for describing Katrina victims as “refugees.” Yes, really. The Rev. Jesse Jackson echoed their complaint: “It is racist to call American citizens refugees.” Refugees are, by dictionary definition, “exiles who flee for safety.” How this could be construed as bigoted remains as much a mystery as the source of unhinged Huffington Post blogger and self-proclaimed “social justice advocate” Randall Robinson’s bogus claim “that black hurricane victims in New Orleans have begun eating corpses to survive.”

Mysteries Solved, Lies Refuted

by Burt Prelutsky on Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Those on the left have made every attempt to tar those on the right as racists. They have done it so often and so ineptly that by now I doubt if even the rabid likes of Chris Matthews, Joy Behar and Rachel Maddow, take it seriously.

As far back as last March, when the Tea Party members gathered in Washington to voice their objection to ObamaCare, we all saw the way the liberals choreographed the event in order to make the patriots appear hostile to blacks. It was so simplistic, I assume that either Rahm Emanuel or David Axelrod came up with the plan. It consisted of having only the pinheads from the Black Congressional Caucus enter the House by the front steps while Nancy Pelosi and her white colleagues all snuck in using the tunnel.

The leftists counted on the Tea Partiers employing racial invective, and when that didn’t happen they simply lied and said it had. They insisted that Emmanuel Cleaver had been spat upon and that the infamous n-word had been hurled at John Lewis 15 times. Oddly enough, even when a $100,000 reward was posted for visual or audio confirmation, not even Keith Olbermann or Ellis Henican stepped forward to claim the prize.

I’m not suggesting that there were no catcalls from the crowd, but does anyone, including Juan Williams, believe the catcalls wouldn’t have been even louder and more pointed if Nancy Pelosi or Henry Waxman had dared run the gauntlet of outraged, over-burdened, tax-paying patriots? But of course even if Pelosi and Waxman had shown their faces, the lap dog media would have condemned the Tea Party members as a pack of misogynistic anti-Semites!

Speaking of the left-wing media, I believe I’ve finally figured out the explanation for Marc Lamont Hill’s frequent appearances on Bill O’Reilly’s show. He serves to make Alan Colmes seem almost rational.

The media, together with the DNC, has taken advantage of Obama’s race to insist that all objections to his radical agenda are the result of racism. What they fail to deal with is how it was that 52% of American voters, all of whom knew his racial makeup, cast their votes for him in 2008, while if the election were held today, the polls indicate that he would lose if he were running against Romney, Gingrich and Huckabee, and be in a dead-heat with Palin.

Another fact that refutes the claims that anti-Obama sentiment is race-based is that his personal approval numbers are significantly higher than those regarding his policies. Feeling as I do about his character, I’m at a loss to explain the dichotomy, but perhaps a lot of people can’t help but empathize with his pathetic efforts on the golf course.

Obama Shoves 80-Year Old Mongrel Under the Bus! (Satire)

by John Lillpop on Sunday, August 1st, 2010

Poor Charley Rangel.

At age 80 and after 40 years of “Service” in the U.S. House, the gentleman from Harlem has been thrown under the bus by America’s first combined African-American president and mongrel.

In doing this dastardly deed, President Obama remarked that the 13 ethics charges against Rangel are “very troubling” and went on to add that perhaps it was time for Charles Rangel to end his career “with dignity.”

Dignity?

Where and when has Charles Rangel ever been confused with even a smattering of dignity?

Even so, Rangel was owed more respect than Obama was able, or willing, to muster on the occasion of Rangel’s official demise.

Rangel thus joins the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and a host of other friends and family whose dealings with Obama are no longer worth it to The One.

Nothing is normal in our country anymore

by Marie Jon on Friday, July 30th, 2010

“The American people cannot be distracted by racial exploitation; the future of this great nation truly does hang in the balance.” — Steve McCann

Americans need to realize the damage that racial manipulation has done to our country. The blame can be put squarely on the Democratic Party. They have used racism for political gain since the days of the Ku Klux Klan. Let’s have a brief refresher course about just who the Klan were.

Militant members of the Democratic Party, calling themselves the Ku Klux Klan, spread like wildfire across the South after the Civil War. The group targeted Republicans who were involved in freeing the slaves. The Klan attempted to preserve white supremacy through violence, including torture and murder. They intimidated and killed both blacks and whites. By the late 1800s, the federal government began to prosecute the Klan for its crimes and curb the fanatical mayhem.

The current nonsense that the Republican Party is not for all people is just that. Conservatives want everyone to be successful and reach their highest potential. That is the American spirit. The blessings of freedom must be kept in this land forever. Unfortunately, our country is going down the path of repressive tyranny — thanks largely to the modern Democratic Party, which is obsessed with making racial unrest a central theme of its agenda.

The pre-eminent racist

During the last national election, voters should have been more careful to scrutinize the candidates. Barack Obama has a racist past. His communist friends and family could hardly be described as honorable in matters of race. The presence of America-hating, race-agitating Rev. Jeremiah Wright in Obama’s life was evidence that Obama was going to be a problem if elected. It’s my personal opinion that the president’s religious beliefs are mainly what determines how he leads this nation, including foreign policies.

When Obama was serving in the U.S. Senate, his voting record was that of an extremist. He may have presented himself as a centrist, but in reality he was a Marxist radical. As long as he continues to sit in the Oval Office, our country seems helpless to stop his “progressive” plan to undo our constitutional republic. So far, nothing has been able to counter his deliberate imposition of socialism. America suffers from his dictates.

Lessons Learned from the Shirley Sherrod Debacle

by John Lillpop on Friday, July 23rd, 2010

Several invaluable lessons were imparted as a result of the Shirley Sherrod debacle:

All Humans ARE Capable of Racism

Over the years, it has been argued (illogically) by some that racism is an evil that lingers only in the hearts and minds of Caucasians. That myth was laid to rest in spades as Sherrod described her racist thoughts and beliefs and eventual abandonment of that wrong.

Knee-Jerk Reactions Exacerbate Rather Than Ease

Once again, the Obama administration reacted impulsively to an explosive racial issue and, in doing so, made the situation worse.

As was the case last summer when Obama chastened a white police officer for arresting a black professor at Harvard and friend of the president without knowing the facts, this time the ax of “stupidity” fell on Shirley Sherrod who was fired before the facts were known.

Obama’s Lack of Competence Includes Race

Candidate Obama promised to usher in the post-racial era of tolerance and mutual respect. However, President Obama is just as incompetent on this issue as he is with the economy, terrorism, immigration, health care, and every other major issue for which competent leadership is needed.

Using Race As Political Weapon Prevents Healing

Has America reached the point where intelligent discourse about race is impossible?

Rather than addressing the issue responsibly, political weasels on both sides of the spectrum use race as a political club to distort and discredit opponents.

The article and video concerning Shirley Sherrod are excellent examples of using race as a wedge or club, in this case to discredit the NACCP.

Think that 12-40 million illegal aliens is an issue that should be addressed by securing the borders and deporting the illegals? Then you are a racist!

Oppose higher taxes, abortion and other parts of the Obama agenda and protest same as part of the Tea Party movement? Then you are a racist!

Racial relations will never improve until both sides discontinue the practice of using the R word as an offensive weapon for political gain.

Unfortunately, America does not have reasoned leadership on this critical issue.

About That Racist Tea Party Movement

by Daniel Greenfield on Sunday, July 18th, 2010

“I think one man is just as good as another so long as he’s honest and decent and not a nigger or a Chinaman.”

Harry Truman

“I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.”

Lyndon B. Johnson

“I see nothing wrong with ethnic purity being maintained.”

Jimmy Carter

Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.”

Senator Robert Byrd

“They mention that he once had a fleeting association with the Ku Klux Klan, and what does that mean? I’ll tell you what it means. He was a country boy from the hills and hollows of West Virginia. He was trying to get elected.”

Bill Clinton defending Byrd’s KKK membership

The party of segregation is outraged by Tea Party racism. The party whose Presidential icons refused loans to black families moving into white neighborhoods, bugged Martin Luther King, denounced civil rights and refused to desegregate the armed forces are all worked up about racism. That imaginary racism that only they can hear when their opponents talk. There is a psychological term called “Projection” in which a Democrat attributes his own subconscious racism to Republicans. That’s of course assuming that it even is subconscious, rather than completely conscious.

Every successful Democratic President pandered to racists. Woodrow Wilson praised Birth of a Nation. FDR appointed Klansmen to high positions in his administration. JFK opposed civil rights when it was convenient, and supported them when it was convenient. Jimmy Carter ran a racist campaign for Governor of Georgia. Obama switched around the colors, by pandering to black racists, in a church as filled with hate as can be imagined.

Leftists Use Their Only Tool Left to Discredit the Tea Party: Race Politics

by Christopher Morris on Friday, July 16th, 2010

I am sick and tired of the bullshit spewed by the leftist asshats in media saying the Tea Party is racist. It is false. It is a lie. The freaks on the left are scared out of their minds that they are going to lose huge in November. The only thing they have left to fight with is race politics. Their policies are utter crap and the people of the this country are getting sick of the dismantling of the freedoms and liberties by the statists. The left continues to trot out these complete falsehoods like every Tea Party rally is filled with bigoted signs. Where? Show me 5 that is racist or biggoted. Show me more than one at a single rally. They say there are guns being brought to the rallies. Really? Where? And if they are then the people carrying them have a permit to carry. Oh and they keep bringing up that the black caucus got spit at during the health care debacle. No evidence has been brought to support that.

So some dipshit put up an unfortunate billboard with Hitler, Obama and Lenin on it. That was a bad decision. One which the context of the message was completely ignored. The owner took it down the next day and said he was wrong to put it up.

This is completely ridiculous. The leftists are embarrassing. They are totally mis-characterizing the Tea Party people. If they had any honor they would come to a rally and see what people are saying. Racism has NOTHING to do with the movement. But again since these cranks are losing their message they will use the only tool left to minimize the Tea party movement: race. It is not working. It is dishonest. The ignorance the left displays is pathetic.

One more time for the dense amongst the far left loons: It is about limited government. Fiscal conservatism. Rejection of serfdom. Rule of law. Constitutional adherence.

This really pisses me off because it has nothing to do about race. It has everything to do with the left losing their policy message and trying to marginalize those that disagree with them. It’s not working so the attacks will get worse leading up to their (hopefully) demise in November.

Update: Gateway Pundit via Show Me Progress reports that Democrat Rep Sheila Jackson Lee continues the vile accusations of the millions in the Tea Party as KKK members. She suggests:

All those who wore sheets a long time ago have now lifted them off and started wearing [applause], uh, clothing, uh, with a name, say, I am part of the tea party.

You race baiting people are pathetic, completely dishonest and a disgrace to the Constitution that you swore to uphold.
