Representative Pete Stark is a Disgrace to America

by Christopher Morris on Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Rep. Pete Stark is an arrogant jerk. I cannot believe that Americans have let people like this remain in position of public servitude. The arrogance and disdain that the Democrats have for Americans that do not share their views is unconscionable. They showed their dishonorable actions last summer during multiple town hall meetings and Stark and Bob “who are you” Etheridge have shown in recent weeks how little they think of the people they serve.

Americans do not deserve this kind of attitude from public servants but we are to blame for allowing them to be voted in. For years we have taken our privilege of voting for granted and never paid attention to the results. Fortunately it looks like we have finally woken up and are ready to take action, which I think is why you are seeing these pompous and arrogant public servants show what they are really all about. I hope patriots across the country will step up and vote honorable people into the offices to serve them.

It is incredible to me that people like Stark and Etheridge can treat the people they serve with such disdain and mockery. It is appalling. We have to remind who these people work for in the future. Americans and those voted into office may disagree but their is no excuse on either side to insult, belittle and talk down to the other. In particular those in public office should have more honor about their position and be more professional. Pete Stark is a disgrace to his office. He is an insult to the people he represents. But it is appalling that people in California have continued to vote this man into office for over 30 years.

Pete Stark is the same public servant who told a man in a town hall meeting last summer that he “wouldn’t dignify you by peeing on your leg”. Quite a comment from a man holding a public office that is sworn to defend the Constitution. Well he was at it again at a meeting with Minutemen. His sarcasm and disdain was on full display.

This is what we expect from Marxists and tyrants. Arrogance and mockery. This is not America. If you want this kind of leadership then head south beyond the border or flee to the socialist countries elsewhere. This shit has no place in America.

The Biggest Flip-flop Yet…John McCain

by Barbara Anderson on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

John McCain has perpetrated the flip-flop of the century. McCain has never been in favor of borders. He likes illegal aliens. Now, he has flipped again. Only now he is for the Arizona law.

He has embraced the nickname of “maverick”. What does that mean? He goes against the grain. McCain said in June 2008 “My principles and my practices and my voting record are very clear. Not only from 2000 but 1998 and 1992 and 1986. And, you know, it’s kind of a favorite ploy, now opponents use, of saying the person has changed. Have I changed position on some specific issues because of changed circumstances? I would hope so! I would hope so!”

Flip-flop.

Let us examine the partnersip of Ted Kennedy and McCain. The only hesitancy about joining Kennedy in the amnesty fight, lay in the desire to be president.

Senator DeMint said that it appeared to be leaning that Republicans would not accept the proposal to give amnesty until the borders are secured. A McCain spokeswoman said he had not deviated from his position on immigration.

While he campaigned, he maintained his position on amnesty.

“We have to have a comprehensive approach to reform, which means a temporary worker (program) as well as securing our borders, as well as addressing the 12 million people who are here illegally, in both in a comprehensive a humane fashion.”

I don’t know where they get the number of 12 million. It has been 12 million for years. It is more likely 20 to 25 million.

Here is where his heart lies. It is time to campaign again, so he is against amnesty and against illegal aliens. He is smart and knows which way the wind blows. He reads the polls, which are overwhelmingly against amnesty.

The drug cartels along our borders are getting more brazen. McCain could have been instrumental in stopping the drug trade. Too bad he didn’t care about the kids ruining their lives.

Too bad he didn’t come easily to his position. Too bad the hordes of people that have been allowed into this country. Just for practical purposes, think of fewer people. Think of the fewer cars on the roads, clogging the freeways. Think of the fewer people using food, clothing and hospitals.

Think of the millions of dollars sent to Mexico. Alone, It is estimated at $25 Billion dollars. Those dollars go South never to return. The people here are yearning for more jobs. Those jobs could have been sent to help our American economy. Think of food, clothing, and sustenance.

Now that our economy is so bad, each job is precious. The more jobs the illegal aliens take, the less jobs Americans have.

Most importantly, think of the people who have been killed on our highways. More have been killed on our streets and highways than have been killed in the war. There are consequences involved in making McCain’s push for amnesty.

The recent proclamation from John McCain is to “complete the dang fence.” Not very convincing.

There is a man who wants McCain’s job. That man is J.D. Hayworth. He has always been against amnesty. No question in his loyalties.

You don’t have to worry about borders. No flip-flopping there.

John McCain is against amnesty……today. What will he be tomorrow?

The Sestak Affair

by Douglas J. Hagmann on Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Members of congress demand criminal probe

“This is punishable by prison. This is a felony.” – Rep. Darrell Issa

Joe Sestak

29 May 2010: Due to the recent equivocations from the Obama White House and the apparent unwillingness by the mainstream media to investigate this matter, the majority of Americans are unaware of the seriousness of the Obama administration’s alleged actions involving Joseph Sestak.  If proven, the reported actions of the Obama administration are clear violations of three federal laws[i]. The impact and fallout from documented violations, as well as the refusal of the Holder Justice Department to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate this matter, have the potential to eclipse the Watergate scandal of the early 1970’s – it is that serious.

The crime

In an attempt to retain as much political control over Congress during the 2010 midterm elections, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel dispatched William Clinton and lawyer Doug Band to meet with senatorial candidate Joseph Sestak who was running against Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania. In exchange for dropping out of the race, Sestak was offered a position with the administration. It was reasoned that should Sestak accept, Specter would be unopposed in the primary and have a much better chance of retaining his senatorial seat. The meetings reportedly took place in June and July of last year.

Based on open source reports stemming back to February, it is apparent that Sestak had no idea that such overtures are illegal as he readily admitted the meeting and job offer in a February 18, 2010 interview with Philadelphia TV newscaster Larry Kane (documented here).

Barack Obama – Narcissist or Merely Narcissistic?

by Jayme Evans on Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Best Analysis (diagnosis) Yet of AKA Obama

By Sam Vaknin, Ph.D.

Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist. Granted, only a qualified mental health diagnostician (which I am not) can determine whether someone suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and this, following lengthy tests and personal interviews. But, in the absence of access to Barack Obama, one has to rely on his overt performance and on testimonies by his closest, nearest and dearest.

Narcissistic leaders are nefarious and their effects pernicious. They are subtle, refined, socially-adept, manipulative, possessed of thespian skills, and convincing. Both types equally lack empathy and are ruthless and relentless or driven.

Perhaps it is time to require each candidate to high office in the USA to submit to a rigorous physical and mental checkup with the results made public.

I. Upbringing and Childhood

Obama’s early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations. Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant (two years old). Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Then, his mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia: a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white) grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. She died of cancer in 1995.

Pathological narcissism is a reaction to prolonged abuse and trauma in early childhood or early adolescence. The source of the abuse or trauma is immaterial: the perpetrators could be dysfunctional or absent parents, teachers, other adults, or peers.

Trade post floated by White House would have paid Romanoff $163K annual salary

by Jon Ward on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

The Obama administration is under fire for reportedly offering another Senate candidate job for a political favor (AP)

One of the jobs floated by a top White House official to Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff, in an attempt to get him out of a primary challenge to an incumbent Democrat, would have paid him $165,300.

The director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency is paid an annual salary at the Executive Level III, according to the Plum Book, the government publication that lists roughly 9,000 appointment positions every four years after a presidential election.

The Office of Personnel Management lists Executive Level III positions as receiving a salary in 2010 of $165,300. A spokesman for the USTDA confirmed this number as the director’s salary.

The USTDA’s director position is a post requiring Senate confirmation.

USTDA has an annual budget of $55 million and 78 employees. The director’s post was one of three government positions that were dangled in front of Romanoff by deputy White House chief of staff Jim Messina, according to both Romanoff and the White House.

The other two positions were Deputy Assistant Administrator for Latin America and Caribbean at USAID and Director, Office of Democracy and Governance at USAID. Neither of those jobs appeared to be as high-paying as the USTDA position, based on searches of OPM’s website.

Obama is Not a Leader – Fascination at Executive Incompetence

by Christopher Morris on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Sometimes you find the best analysis of a situation from the oddest places. I’ve been fascinated at the absolute incompetence of our president. I knew from the start he was not a leader, he’s never held a position of authority in his life. But he is the chosen one so what do I know. A column on Phil’s Stock World discusses Obama tipping the jobs number Friday as being a good one. His speech at Carnegie Mellon declared the economic recovery on track, blah, blah, blah. I found this article politically insightful:

Obama gave a longish speech at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh today blaming most of the problems in the US on the Republicans and a few greedy Banks, extolling the fine reforms in healthcare and the financial system that he has been able to push through despise the minority opposition, and recalcitrant leftish supporters, after he saved the country by the unfortunate but unavoidably necessary bank bailouts.

He speech sounded good. And if you do not look too closely at what is going on, and how things are being run, and the lack of actual reform, you might have had a feel good moment. It was about as effectively staged as the case that George W made to the American people for the invasion of Iraq. And it was probably just as phony and self-serving.

I come away feeling that Lincoln had it exactly right. There will be a die hard group who will never lose faith in their party, or any of their chosen leaders, and will find desperate comfort in partisan blindness.

But the great majority of the American people are waking up, and that spells trouble in the November elections for most incumbent politicians. So the pace and velocity of the spin will have to be adjusted. Hence the speech today. And the outlook for the tortured American economic system, and the official descriptions of it.

In other words, it will be tough to believe anything D.C. has to say as it will be tightly spun to try to avoid the massive carnage awaiting for incumbents, hopefully on both sides, in November. Honestly I hope the voter wrath in November is impressive and totally destructive to the system in place in Washington. Leaders don’t blame others for their problems. They find solutions for the problems today. But the statists prefer to be victims. So every day they continue to blame Republicans and the prior administration for their problems. It’s pathetic. Obama is not a leader. He has no idea how to govern. He is a figurehead that can read a speech well. 2012 cannot come soon enough.

Dick Morris wrote an interesting article on The Hill on Obama’s incompetence:

Conservatives are so enraged at Obama’s socialism and radicalism that they are increasingly surprised to learn that he is incompetent as well. The sight of his blithering and blustering while the most massive oil spill in history moves closer to America’s beaches not only reminds one of Bush’s terrible performance during Katrina, but calls to mind Jimmy Carter’s incompetence in the face of the hostage crisis.

…the president acts like a spectator, interrupting his basketball games only to excoriate BP for its failure to contain the spill.

…Conservatives may dislike Obama because he is a leftist. But liberals are coming to dislike him because he is not a competent progressive.

Another Democrat admits Obama White House offered jobs to get him out of Senate race

by Jon Ward on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Democratic Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff, who is challenging incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet in Colorado, confirmed late Wednesday that deputy White House chief of staff Jim Messina said he could be given one of three high-ranking federal jobs if he gave up his candidacy.

Romanoff said he was told by Messina that two high-ranking positions at USAID and the director’s position at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency “might be available to me were I not pursuing the Senate race.”

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency director’s position would have been a post in charge of a $55 million budget and a staff of 78 people, which requires Senate confirmation.

It is now the second confirmed Senate race in which the Obama administration has tried to lure challengers to Democratic incumbents out of their races with offers or potential government jobs, flirting with ethical and possibly even legal violations that have besmirched a president who based much of his candidacy on changing the way Washington operates.

Romanoff’s bombshell comes days after White House counsel Bob Bauer confirmed last Friday that White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel went through former President Bill Clinton in an attempt to move Rep. Joe Sestak out of the Pennsylvania Democratic Senate primary.

Bauer and Sestak have said that the congressman was offered only a slot on a presidential advisory board, which would likely have not broken the law, but the official account has been plagued by questions and inconsistencies that have fueled suspicions that Sestak was offered a more weighty position such as Secretary of the Navy.

And in fact, the Romanoff revelation amplified questions about the credibility of the White House account of what they offered Sestak.

It’s Not the Messaging, It’s the Message

by Daniel Greenfield on Monday, May 17th, 2010

Two weeks ago I was asked what role Rahm Emanuel is meant to play in the Obama Administration’s campaign against Israel. That question has now been answered. Emanuel has been selected for the unlikely role of the “Good Cop” in an administration full of “Bad Cops”.  After seemingly steering clear of Israeli policy, Rahm Emanuel surfaced in a meeting with several moderate liberal “Rabbis” to explain that the Obama Administration was actually extremely pro-Israel, only their “messaging” was screwed up.

The “messaging” tactic is one that the Obama Administration has repeatedly used to reassert its position while arguing that critics simply didn’t understand what was being said to them. Think of Cool Hand Luke. “What we’ve got here is a failure to communicate.” What that really means is a failure to obey. Run that through PRese and mix it up with a handful of buzzwords, and it’s another attempt at pushing the “Reset button” while really saying, “We’re not wrong, you’re stupid.” Hoping that the people they’re talking to are too stupid to realize what’s really being said and done to them.

The idea that Rahm Emanuel is the Obama Administration’s top Jewish asset is already surreal. Despite his background, in his actual job Emanuel has shown about as much interest in Jews and Israel, as Biden has shown in the Irish and Ireland. But Emanuel’s own political ambitions doubtlessly played a major part in allowing him to select this role for himself. The real Rahm Emanuel has no loyalties except to himself, which is why he isn’t about to let himself be used as a “Bad Cop” and then thrown under the bus. It’s safer to be the “Good Cop” and then walk away claiming you were misled by people you trusted, once the wheel turns.

But Rahm’s soiree shows a dose of worry by the Obama Administration when it comes to their Jewish support. The full list of Rabbis he met with hasn’t been released, but those who have are younger, moderate liberal and pro-Israel. This marks a retreat from the unofficially official position of the Obama Administration that its hostility to Israel is actually representative of a “new generation” of Jews who hate Israel. And anyone who disagrees is just a “Likudnik”. Of course they don’t say “hate”. They have nicer terms than that, which is helpful when what you’re really talking about is collaborating in genocide.

All along J Street and left wing anti-Israel groups have been promoting a youthful self-image, which is a tough sell considering that its president, Jeremy Ben Ami is pushing 50, and its moneyman, creaky Nazi collaborator George Soros, is pushing 80. But the left’s progressivism requires casting their struggle as that of the caring and passionate youth against the uncaring old men. Even if the old men are the ones who are actually running the show from behind the scenes. Especially then. And so after picking over the rhetorical bones of Peace Now, they emerged with “Dor Shalem Doresh Shalom” or “A Whole Generation Demands Peace”.

If you believe the Obama Administration, the Beinarts and the J Streets, they already control the youth, and only the aging organization leaders stand in their way, only because they haven’t caught up with reality yet. This is classic leftist cant, that confuses their own propaganda with reality. And Obama’s falling poll numbers have forced him to backtrack from the lie that his position on Israel is that of a majority of Jews in America. And after a year of extremely slimy tactics that ranged from accusing Jewish pro-Israel leaders of being out of touch with their own communities to using media proxies to hurl accusations of Dual Loyalty at anyone critical of the Obama Administration’s mangling of Israel– Rahm appears to throw a few crumbs to the people who need it most. Liberal Pro-Israel Jews who are genuinely worried about the crisis in relations between the two countries.

The meeting marks no retreat, only a bone thrown to a starving dog. Many liberal Jews who do care about Israel and nevertheless voted for Obama need a reason not to turn on their master. And if a pat on the head was all it took to make Elie Wiesel lick the administration’s hand, the idea is all it will take is a few sit downs with Rabbis from Florida to keep the Jewish vote from spinning too far out of control. A few doses of the old campaign spin. A little less James L Jones cracking jokes about greedy Jews, and a little more Dennis Ross, Baker’s ole Jewboy, on set to calm frayed nerves and assure everyone that Obama is doing everything it can to protect Israel. When of course Israel would much rather that Obama go “protect” someone else out of existence.

If you listen to Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod and Dennis Ross then there’s nothing wrong here. Just another “failure to communicate.” The reality however is that it’s not the messaging, it’s the message. Politicians and PR spinners love to blame the messaging, because it lets them go on thinking that they can sell any lie, so long as it’s gift wrapped in a pretty enough package. But it’s not the messaging, it’s the message.

Who is Michael Posner, and Why is He Apologizing to China?

by Michelle Malkin on Monday, May 17th, 2010

Actually, I phrased the title question wrong.

Question: Who the hell is Michael Posner, and why the hell is he apologizing to China?!

Answer: Michael Posner is the former head agitator at the transnationalist Human Rights First, who represents the textbook State Department mindset of pandering to the worst America-bashers without hesitation or shame. Foggy Bottom isn’t just stuck on stupid. It’s stuck on American self-sabotage.

Longtime readers of this blog will recall that Posner had a significant role in the attempted George Soros-ization of Ground Zero in 2005.

Moreover, Discover The Networks reports:

Michael Posner has been the executive director of Human Rights First since its founding in 1978. HRF describes itself as a group that “works in the United States and abroad to create a secure and humane world by advancing justice, human dignity and respect for the rule of law.” In practice, HRF is an open borders group that opposes all government efforts to control illegal immigration and strengthen American national security. Posner received his B.A. in history from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from UC Berkeley; before coming to HRF, he worked for the law firm of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal. He has taught at Yale Law School and is a visiting Lecturer at Columbia Law School.

In September 2009, Posner became a key deputy of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s:

Michael H. Posner
Assistant Secretary
Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor
Term of Appointment: 09/23/2009 to present

Michael H. Posner was sworn in as Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor on September 23, 2009.

Prior to joining State Department, Mr. Posner was the Executive Director and then President of Human Rights First. As its Executive Director he helped the organization earn a reputation for leadership in the areas of refugee protection, advancing a rights-based approach to national security, challenging crimes against humanity, and combating discrimination. He has been a frequent public commentator on these and other issues, and has testified dozens of times before the U.S. Congress. In January 2006, Mr. Posner stepped down as Executive Director to become the President of Human Rights First, a position he held until his appointment as Assistant Secretary.

With all that background in mind, open-borders radical Posner’s trashing of Arizona’s immigration law at a meeting in China should come as no surprise. No surprise at all. The “Human Rights First” is to Blame America First. Posner has not disappointed his far Left colleagues in his new governmental position of authority.

Stop Corruption in Government – Campaign Fund Reform – Equal Opportunity for All

by American Grams on Friday, September 25th, 2009

Corruption in government – it starts with the election process.  Special interest groups, labor unions, big pharma, all making campaign contributions supporting the candidate that is going to give them the back room deals they are after.  Why do you think this country is in this much trouble!  They have all basically bought and paid for the candidate of choice, the one who is looking out for their special interests instead of the interests of the American people.  The corruption needs to stop now, and reform needs to start with the funding of political campaigns.

The democrats seem to want to make everything equal – take from the rich and give to the poor.  So let’s start with campaign funding.  Let’s implement this equal for all system for the politicians, right from the start of the campaign process.  It’s time for a radical campaign funding change.

Instead of companies and individuals supporting one candidate over another, campaign contributions would be made to a government fund for each elected position.  There would be one fund for the president, one for each state senator race, one for each representative of the house race.  All campaign monies would go into this fund and NO OTHER funding for campaigns would be permitted.  The money from these funds would then be divided equally to all candidates running for that position, whether it be two or more.  Everyone would have an equal opportunity in campaigning for the desired position.

How the campaign spends this money would be up to them, but they would have to limit spending to only the money received from the fund.  It would be restricted, of course, to legal activities only.  At the end of the campaign a full disclosure of the money would be required within a specific timeframe and an audit would be completed on the final campaign funds.  Any money remaining from the election would be returned to the fund for the next elections.  There could be no “outstanding balance due” at the end of the campaign.

A radical move, but the problems we see in the government today are because every special interest group and every company has their own agenda and they have all made deals with the politicians to get what they want.  They donate and expect to receive benefits in return – and they don’t just mean a thank you letter.  The government is no longer run by the people, for the people.  It is being run by special interests and big business.  This has got to stop!  Start the reform where the corruption begins – the campaign funding.  Equal opportunity for everyone.
