Friday Afternoon Roundup – I Am Not Trayvon Martin

by Daniel Greenfield on Saturday, July 20th, 2013

I AM NOT TRAYVON MARTIN

The latest liberal idiocy involves while college kids apologizing for their “white privilege” by declaring “I am not Trayvon Martin”. Of course they’re more likely to get assaulted going through a black neighborhood, than the Trayvon Martins are going through a white neighborhood, but facts like that stopped mattering years ago.

So let me take my own shot at it.

I am not Trayvon Martin. Not just because if confronted by a local Latino homeowner, I’m not likely to pick up a fight with him and beat him until he shoots me.

I am also not Trayvon Martin because if I were shot and killed by any person, regardless of race, color or creed, you would never hear Obama talking about it because I look nothing like his son.

Lacking the Black Privilege that turns a death into an opportunity for race baiting, I would just be another statistic. There would be no rallies for me and no t-shirts with my name on it. No one would be talking about how they are me or aren’t me.

Twenty years ago, a young man who looked very much like me was stabbed to death in Crown Heights by a mob shouting, “Kill the Jew”. His name was Yankel Rosenbaum. The man responsible for the race riot he was killed in has a show on MSNBC and is considered Obama’s main liaison to the black community.

So I know that if I were killed, the man responsible would probably show up on MSNBC ten years later lecturing on racism and white privilege.

If I were killed, my death would not be a cause, only another urban statistic in cities where crime is disproportionately carried out by the Trayvon Martins of the world, who are turned into martyrs when they are killed, rather than when they do the killing.

I am not Trayvon Martin because my death would not be used to convince bored white kids to pour out their fake guilt in histrionic displays of political correctness.

I am not Trayvon Martin because no one would care what brand of candy I was carrying or what I was wearing or where I was going. I would be another white outline on the sidewalk that the white privilege kids would walk around on the way to another seminar on white privilege.

THE TRIAL OF AMERICA

The race-baiting left had to tell its familiar story and they weren’t going to let anything get in the way of telling that story. They have to tell and retell that story because it establishes their moral authority to run our society and our lives.

The story is black and white with no room for ambiguities or gray areas. It’s about race as martyrdom. It’s about white guilt. The story is already written and the left is always looking to stick someone’s name in the empty space between “White racist” and “Minority victim.” The head of Stalin’s secret police once said, “Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.” The American left reverses that equation. They already know the crime. All they need is the man.

It wasn’t George Zimmerman’s freedom that they wanted to take away. It was our freedom.

The Shameless Nation – Are We Celebrating Our Own Demise?

by Rev. Michael Bresciani on Saturday, May 25th, 2013

This is article 48 of 61 in the topic Gay Rights

tn_Boy_Scouts_of_America.JPGThe ever increasing bullying of the gay agenda in America has now resulted in changes for the Boy Scouts of America that are devastating. Now openly gay boys will be allowed to become boy scouts because of the vote of some 1,400 BSA leaders.

The battle is far from over and dozens if not hundreds of lawsuits will be forthcoming in the days ahead. There are about 1.1 million scouts across the nation and many of them will be leaving the scout troops for several obvious reasons. Firstly many parents do not want their boys exposed to gay activity because of their personal and religious convictions.

According to NARTH (National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuals) a recent report says that there is no doubt that “homosexual youth are sexually active than their heterosexual peers.” The study was based on a sampling of teens in Massachusetts and the results are published in an article written by Michelle Cretella, MD and David C. Pruden, MS, entitled “Research Pertinent to the Boy Scouts of America Policy Change Debate.” May 20, 2013

Another cause for future exits from the BSA is due to the fact that many of the troops across the nation are sponsored by churches and religious ministries that are strongly opposed to the promulgation of the gay agenda. Sponsorship will be pulled and not offered again in many cases.

What never seems to occur to either the President who announced for everything gay since his first term, to the beleaguered congress that are being bombarded by gay activist groups is that; the words of the Bible about the sinfulness of homosexuality are written in their hearts, not just the pages of the world’s most revered and trusted book.

We do not accept because it has become vogue the call to everything LBGT and by no means do Christians equate the gay agenda as the just cause of a civil group that is being denied their rights. They are not a race, or a particular religion or creed but simply a people who want to put their preferences and choices on a level as normal, acceptable and moral. This world will come to its ignominious end before real Christians ever accept the perversion of the LBGT as something as normal.

True believers are well beyond worrying about whether people can see the troubles, catastrophes and disasters as part and parcel to the judgments that follow our worst national behavior.

Not long after the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down California’s Prop-8 as unconstitutional most of the western states, but especially California began burning and homes and property was devastated.

Only days before Southern Decadence was to begin its celebrations in New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina came to end it and anything else planned in that area for years to come.

Only one day after the State of Oklahoma began its ‘Gay Pride Week” the worst tornado in the history of the planet touched down to flatten over 12,000 homes and properties.

People may doubt that God would do these kinds of interventions, they blame global warning, solar flares, coincidence and shear bad luck, but according to the Bible these kinds of interventions will come from God with ever increasing frequency until they become even more frequent and far more intense.

A World of Refugees

by Daniel Greenfield on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013

This is article 325 of 450 in the topic Immigration

The old paradigm that a country has the right to decide who enters it has been decisively overturned in Europe, it’s under siege in such first world countries as America, Canada, Australia and Israel by the creed that says it’s the human rights obligation of every nation to accept every refugee.

Given a chance a sizable portion of the third world would move to the first, a minority because of oppression and a majority because the opportunities and freebies are much better there. Even low ranked first world nations still find themselves swamped with refugees looking to move in.

International law does not assign any priority to a nation’s citizens over any person who happens to stray across the border. At the ground level that means the end of borders and the end of citizenship which is why immigration isn’t just a touchy issue in Arizona, it’s a touchy issue in Sydney, Tel Aviv and Birmingham. You can hardly open a newspaper of the liberal persuasion without being treated to another group of refugees in some troubled part of the world walled up behind fences and trying to get over to London, Sydney or New York.

This sort of thing can’t be called immigration anymore, it’s a straightforward migration and it has no apparent limits. However many you take in, there will be more waiting and always burdening you with an unsolvable crisis.

One approach is to try and stabilize whatever crisis they are supposedly escaping from. Too many Libyans running away to Italy? Just bomb their dictator and they’ll go home again. At least that’s the theory, it doesn’t work too well in practice. For one thing Libya is more dangerous and unstable than it was under Gaddafi. Stabilizing it would require an Iraq level investment of money and manpower, and Iraq isn’t stable either. And London is still full of Iraqi refugees dating back to the 1980′s.

The disparities that make migration aren’t fixable, but nor is mass migration a viable option. There’s a reason that the refugees are running away and they are often part of the problem. Every nation is troubled in its own way and mass migration imports those troubles. It’s why beheadings have come north of the border and the Jihad has set up shop in countless Western cities.

The melting pot myth was that people leave their identities behind to join in a mass identity. That worked only marginally back in the day, it doesn’t work at all today when the refugees are immersed in their Little Mogadishus, which have popped up in a frightening amount of American cities foretelling the day when those cities will become as violent and broken as the original Mogadishu.

In place of the melting pot is the No Go Zone, which is the inverse of integration, it sets up tribal encampments in major cities which run on the laws of the tribe. That sort of thing has always been around in one form or another and it is survivable in limited numbers so long as those zones don’t also become factories of violence. That’s the difference between Amish Country and a Muslim banlieue, it’s also the difference between separatism and supremacism.

Secret Meaning Behind Popular Christmas Carol

by Rev. Austin Miles on Thursday, December 20th, 2012

Compiled by Rev. Austin Miles
The Twelve Days of Christmas, a baffling Carol about a partridge in a pear tree, swimming swans, leaping lords and French hens, along with other peculiar activities has an interesting history and deep meaning.

A check of history revealed that from 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. An anonymous Christian during that time, wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics.

It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church.

Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.
*****

One Partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.

Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.

Three French Hens stood for Faith, Hope and Love.

Four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.

Five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.

Six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.

Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of The Holy Spirit—Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.

Eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of The Holy Spirit—Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.

Ten Lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments.

Eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.

Twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in The Apostles’ Creed.
*****
Sing it with extra joy this Christmas. Oh yes, the 12 days of Christmas would be from December 25th to January 5th, which is St. Nicholas Eve, which would be the first date recorded for the Christmas celebration and still celebrated by many around the world today.

You can hear this on KLOVE Radio at 5 PM (Pacific) on Sunday, December 23, 2012,and Air-1 Radio Network at 6 PM Pacific. It can also be heard at: http://www.klove.com/news and click on, “Closer Look.”

A War of Laws

by Daniel Greenfield on Thursday, October 11th, 2012

This is article 815 of 1211 in the topic International

Civilization is law. A civilization makes its own laws and enforces them. And it views those who do not abide by those laws as lawless savages. Who the civilized lawkeepers and who the lawless savages is a matter of perspective.

From the perspective of our rulers, law is defined by multilateral human rights commitments. From the perspective of their rulers, law is defined by the Koran and allegiance to Islamic law. Both consider their approach just and believe that their mission is to extend and universalize their legal codes. The transnationalists believe that they can integrate Muslims within their codes. Muslims believe that they can integrate transnationalists within their system.

Similar alliances between Muslims and Leftists, whether in Iran or Egypt, have always broken in favor of the Islamists. The determining factor in those countries was ruthlessness and lower class support. In a global struggle for our civilization, it will be demographics that will determine the losers and winners. If Muslim immigration can shift the demographics of a region or of our entire civilization sufficiently in favor of their creed then freedom will be as dead as a rebellious daughter in Afghanistan.

The Clash of Civilizations is at its most essential a clash of laws. Law is the organizing principle of a civilization. It determines who has what powers and what rights. It structures responsibilities and penalties to create a system that encompasses any and all possibilities that may arise within a society. Western societies have attempted to impose their laws on their own Muslim immigrants and on entire Muslim countries. Muslims are attempting to impose their own laws on Western countries through violence and demographics.

At its most naked, law is control. Those who can force others to comply with their laws are the lawmakers. Those who cannot can be rebels or philosophers.

Compliance with the law can be obtained through the higher means of convincing people that it represents an ideal. It can be obtained by convincing them that the law is in their interest. Or it can be obtained through the lowest barbaric means of pure compulsion.

Islamic law, with its manifold punishments and its ubiquitous brutalities, is rooted in the compulsion of force. Islam spread through conquest and retained its grip through empire. Its seduction of self-interest enlisted Muslim converts by sanctifying banditry and rape. The bandits became Emirs and Caliphs, and put on airs, filling their gardens with singing birds and their throne rooms with exotic treasures, but their power always derived from naked force.

The instability of the Muslim world is tied to this essential lawlessness. For all the proliferation of scholars and clerics, the second-hand legalisms cobbled together from Jewish and Greek law, the essential foundation of Muslim civilizations is in the drug-peddling Taliban raiders and the Shiite militias in Iraq and Lebanon. Islamic law is a convenience that enshrines the force of the bandit into religious law.

A Muslim regime lasts only as long as the essential tensions in its society act to tear it apart. The Arab Spring was not a tremendous step forward, but a repetition of the long history of the region where the final law is the law of force.

Whither Goest Thou, America?

by Daniel Greenfield on Wednesday, September 5th, 2012

This is article 80 of 104 in the topic Preserving America

“Whither goest thou, America, in thy shiny car in the night?” Jack Kerouac asked in On the Road That was the Fifties. That shiny car is pretty beat up these days. It’s supposed to get 100 miles to the gallon, so long as the temperature never drops below 75 and the gasoline has additives like the joy of children and the smiles of unicorns. And you can’t buy the car because you can’t get approved for that loan. Instead you ride a bicycle, pedaling furiously, dodging trucks delivering goods from factories in Shanghai, on your way to a job that may not last.

“What do we want” is the ritual chant of every political assembly. The RNC’s chant is jobs. The DNC’s chant is abortion. Both are solutions of a sort. There are two ways to tackle unemployment. You can either make more jobs or make less people. If you make more jobs then families will make more little people and be able to afford them. If you make less people, then singles will be more economically secure but unable to start families.

“Whither goest thou, America,” the pollsters and pundits asked the country four years ago. And the answer was a superwide highway lined with shovel-ready jobs and a new era in history. We drove on that highway and went as fast as we could, and still we could not escape the blight in every direction. The faster we drove, the worse it got. The gasoline cost a fortune and there were no jobs to be found to pay for it.

As night gave way not to morning but a sullen overclouded dusk, we realized that we had taken the wrong road. We were no longer in America anymore. Maybe we were in Mexico or Pakistan. It was hard to say where exactly the dark highway had taken us, but the place we were at now was not the place we wanted to be.

Down the road was a strange place rife with political corruption, everyone had a hand out for a bribe and there was no longer a highway, just a million dirt roads segregated by race and gender, by class and creed, where all the drivers are angry all the time and the traffic cops are there to spread the misery in equal proportion. It might be Russia or Ecuador, it might be anywhere, but it’s not America.

Here we are now in our car in the night. Outside the vista is strange. There are shootings and mosques, and everyone around us is talking about racism or abortion, about the 1 percent and the 99 percent, about carbon credits and iftar dinners, about a great struggle between “us” and “them” and we realize that we are the “them”. On this dark road, we are the enemy of a country that no longer looks like America anymore. And the ones talking, they’re the only ones who have jobs, and their job is denouncing us.

What most people, regardless of political affiliation, really want to do is go home to a country that works. No matter what we are told, most of us still have a faint memory of a home lost in time. A place where there were jobs and shiny cars and affordable meals.

The New Nazis

by Daniel Greenfield on Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

This is article 645 of 1211 in the topic International

There was a time when Jewish children were hunted down and killed in France. Their killers believed themselves to be members of a superior group that was destined to rule the world and enslave or exterminate members of inferior groups. The cowardice and appeasement of the French authorities allowed them to operate freely, to kill Jews and launch attacks on other countries.

What was then is now again. The occupying army doesn’t wear uniforms, it wears keffiyahs. It doesn’t speak German, it speaks Arabic. It doesn’t believe that it is superior for reasons of race as much as for reasons of religion. It does not view all others as Untermenschen, but as infidels. It looks forward not to a thousand year Reich, but to a thousand year Caliphate.

Mohammed Merah did not chase down a French-Jewish seven year old girl, put a gun to her head and pull the trigger because he came from an economically depressed area or any of the other media spin. He was only doing what Muslims had been doing to non-Muslims for over a thousand years. He didn’t do what he did because he was “radicalized”, he did it because he became a fully committed Muslim.

It won’t end with taking down one man and it won’t end with Jewish children. When your ideology believes that it is in a zero-sum struggle with the rest of the world and that membership means that you are a superior breed of human being because you worship the Fuhrer or Allah, then it won’t stop. It won’t ever stop. Not until the figurehead is toppled, the creed is humiliated and the supermen are shown to be cowards, neurotics, pedophiles, insecure men dressing up their weaknesses in power fantasies.

Between all the non-stop coverage, the expressions of grief, the political pandering, no one is stating the obvious. France has been occupied all over again. Once again the occupation has been carried out with the consent of the authorities who have decided that cowardice is the only way. Vichy France has become Vichy Europe, Vichy America, Vichy Australia, where the blatant appeasement is disguised as honor, treason is portrayed as responsible leadership and collaboration in the mass murder of your own people is never acknowledged as such.

It’s not Neo-Nazis that are the threat to Jews today. It’s the new Nazis and the old Nazis who were rounding up Jews into ghettos and murdering their children long before a thousand years before Hitler. The Neos are pathetically longing for the return of a genocidal state that isn’t coming back, while the Muslims are actually working to bring back their genocidal state. They are doing it in Egypt, in Libya, in Pakistan and in England, France and Spain.

Muslims have hated Jews before the telephone, the telegraph, the steam engine, gunpowder, movable type and paper currency. And now surrounded by smartphones, credit cards and jet planes, they still hate them. That simple undeniable fact is denied by government, in every university and in every center of culture. And every one of those deniers has blood on his hands.

Not only the blood of the Jewish children murdered by Mohammed Merah. Not only the blood of Jews murdered by Muslims in France.

The Consensus Wants You

by Daniel Greenfield on Thursday, March 15th, 2012

This is article 79 of 194 in the topic Liberalism

While terms like “The Marketplace of Ideas” are still tossed about occasionally like confetti out of a tenth story window,  they mean about as much as the soiled mass of tape that everyone has stepped on by the time the parade is over. The age of ideas, when issues might actually be debated, instead of answered immediately with talking points derived from an inflexible ideology whose only two poles are outrage and guilt, ended some time ago.

Today we live in the age of consensus. The cultural elites no longer debate opposing points of view, they dismiss them as racist or ignorant, ridiculing not only the argument, but the arguer and the very premise that there can even be an argument.

The “marketplace of ideas” is replaced with “I’m offended that we’re even having this discussion” or “Only ignorant people believe that.” These alternating poses of victimhood and superiority make it illegal or pointless to even discuss the subject and leave every issue settled by consensus. Scientific debates end before they have begun. Political debates exist only to allow candidates to affirm the consensus or castigate them for standing outside the consensus. Personal exchanges of views either reflect the consensus or become perilous and illegal.

The left veers between outrage and ridicule, between cries of “I’m oppressed” and “You’re an idiot”. Both are wholly subjective emotion-driven perceptions that cannot be rationally debated because they do not exist in the sphere of reason. They are the root of the “I Feel” creed which follows no intellectual or moral rules, striking poses of empathy and superiority for effect.

Everyone on the left is at once superior and oppressed, they are all part of the 99 percent being ground under the boot of the 1 percent, or members of minority groups oppressed by the white heteronormative patriarchy or creative people repressed by faceless corporations, and if they aren’t any of those, then by virtue of their empathy they slip under the wire until like Bill Clinton, they are acknowledged as the first black president of the United States.

The teenager lives the illusion of being deep in  a world of shallow people, identifying with outside groups because they reflect his fantasies of alienation. Rather than empathy, this is actually a failure of empathy that time usually remedies. Time has never remedied that failure of empathy for the left, which buries itself in fantasies of victimhood, wealthy white men and women trek to the ghetto or to Africa to nourish themselves on true suffering like emotional vampires who need someone else’s pain to affirm their own pain.

Outrage is eternal. There is something to always be outraged about and they are always on the hunt for it. If you aren’t outraged, then you aren’t paying attention. And if you are outraged, then you can silence any opposition by appealing to the plight of the suffering people somewhere. When you pay enough attention, then you can collect so many things to be outraged by, that you can shut down any discussion with an outrage card from your playing deck.

The emissions of outrage silence ideas with self-righteous outbursts of emotion. Their morality is singular, not universal.

The Santa Killer Was a Religion of Peacer. No News at 11.

by Doug Giles on Monday, January 2nd, 2012

This is article 60 of 117 in the topic Muslims/Koran

If I wanted to murder my family or destroy a historic university and yet not give my faith a bad name in the press, I would convert to the Religion of Peace.

Yep, if you belong to that lovely creed, you can snap on Christmas and execute your entire clan or burn down a famous college, and the media won’t say shizzle about your faith or your motivation for mayhem. Sa-weet, eh, mass murderers?

Case in point. Aziz Yazdanpanah, known only as the “Santa Killer,” was a follower of this “amazing faith” who slaughtered his family on Christmas Day after his wife dumped him and his 19-year-old daughter wouldn’t stop dating a non-Religion of Peacer. The adherents of said faith refer to this act as an “honor killing,” and when it occurs police and the press reckon it unworthy of unearthing and condemning publicly.

For those not familiar with the term “honor killing,” allow me to explain: An honor killing is a murder wherein a man from the Creed of Calm can give his wife and/or daughter(s) the axe if he deems that they have embarrassed him or their peaceful community. Step lightly, lasses.

Oh, and I nearly forgot this. It’s not only okay to kill the ladies, according to their doctrine, if they make the faithful self-conscious, but adherents may also slay flaming gays who sully the Cult of Tranquility’s public image. I’m guessing Adam Lambert will not be converting anytime soon.

So, how did the truth revealing journalists report this Christmas Day carnage enacted by a male member of the Peace People? Here’s how: They called Aziz the “Santa Killer” who was down on his financial and relational luck whom his neighbors regarded as a decent gent who loved his family and liked to do yard work.

In others words, he was a Mr. Rogers with a tan who had a bad day. And haven’t we all had a bad day? Of course we have, and that’s why Daniel Powter wrote his now famous song.

Look, folks, it is obvious: If you want to commit heinous acts and not have your faith called out for your despicable crimes, you probably ought to seriously think about switching religions to the Sect of Serenity because they always get a free ride in the free press. Indeed, precious few of the mainstreamers said this massacre was carried out by a “you know who” for “you know what” reasons. Y’know what I’m saying?

Indeed, the “Santa Killer” got the same treatment from reporters that Nidal Malik Hasan, also a member of the Communion of Calmness, received after the Ft. Hood bloodbath—I’m sorry, the Ft. Hood “workplace violence” situation. Wink, wink.

For those interested, here’s a laundry list of some recent honor killings carried out by the fathers, brothers and leaders within the Religion of Peace.
