He began his disastrous term as U.S. president by ordering the closure of GITMO. Thankfully, that order has never been carried out.
He then forced passage of a trillion-dollar stimulus bill which he promised would create and or save 3.5 to 4 million jobs, keep unemployment
under 8 percent and save the American economy. Those promises never materialized, unemployment is still a disgrace, and the economy is in the grips of an Obama-double-dip recession.
He escalated the war in Afghanistan
, the so-called “right” war, but has failed to provide even a semblance of leadership for winning there. American mothers and fathers with sons and daughters in Afghanistan need to know that their offspring, although in the military by choice, are being commanded by a rank, anti-American amateur whose sole objective is to get the troops home in time to shore up his ratings in time for the 2012 presidential elections. Should your son or daughter suffer injury or worse, the man running the show is all about winning—reelection, that is.
He has declared all-out war on American business, the engine of prosperity and the only entity that creates real jobs. When that and the ill-conceived stimulus notion devastate the economy
, he seeks even more billions in economic aid.
On and on it goes, this president has failed the American people early every time he has become involved.
Obama’s latest failure was his disgusting self-congratulation about ending the war in Iraq.
As reported at Myway.com, in part:
“BAGHDAD (AP) – Days after the U.S. officially ended combat operations and touted Iraq’s ability to defend itself, American troops found themselves battling heavily armed militants assaulting an Iraqi military headquarters in the center of Baghdad on Sunday. The fighting killed 12 people and wounded dozens.
“It was the first exchange of fire involving U.S. troops in Baghdad since the Aug. 31 deadline for formally ending the combat mission, and it showed that American troops remaining in the country are still being drawn into the fighting.
“The attack also made plain the kind of lapses in security that have left Iraqis wary of the U.S. drawdown and distrustful of the ability of Iraqi forces now taking up ultimate responsibility for protecting the country.
“Sunday’s hour-long assault was the second in as many weeks on the facility, the headquarters for the Iraqi Army’s 11th Division, pointing to the failure of Iraqi forces to plug even the most obvious holes in their security.”
Combat over, Mr. President?
Is there nothing this man can do right?
How about a “resignation” speech, Mr. President?

Everything the Obama Administration has done, was for the purpose of creating a dependent electorate. A people that would have no choice but let them wield as much power as they want, without a word of protest.
The dependent electorate represents the hijacking of America. It aims for a major power shift that takes power from the people and gives it to the government. Traditionally the people were dependent on the government. The American Experiment reversed the locus of control by making the government dependent on the people instead. This served as a natural hedge against tyranny by devaluing government as a means of controlling the population. And that has been the basic grievance of the progressives against America, that our system makes it possible to monopolize commercial power, but not political power. Yet for all the left’s revisionist histories of America… of the two, a monopoly on political power is far more dangerous than commercial monopolies are.
The potential power of government is limited only by its dependencies. The less dependent government is, the more unlimited its power becomes. And the advocates of revising the American system to allow government to wield virtually unlimited power, have always known that their chief obstacle is the Constitutional limitations on the amount of power they can wield and their need to garner support from the electorate in order to be able to overturn them.
An independent electorate is the single biggest threat to the unchecked accumulation of government power. Which is why creating a dependent electorate is the goal of those who want to change the balance of power between the people and their government. There are many methods, but only one goal. Playing divide and conquer by subdividing society into exploitable groups, all taught to look to the government to protect them from each other, is one way. An all out war on economic independence in order to create deprivation and dependency on government social safety nets is another. Both are ways that advocates of unlimited government power cultivate a dependent electorate that looks to them for protection.
The entire debate over amnesty and illegal aliens from Mexico is yet another demonstration of the same principle. Preventing states near the border from cracking down on illegal aliens, makes the existing overdrawn social service systems in those states unsustainable, requiring Federal intervention. Since those states also tend to be more conservative and entrepreneurial, regular amnesty programs can turn those same illegal aliens into US citizens, who will nevertheless be hopelessly dependent on social services programs. Importing a dependent electorate with nothing on their minds but to vote themselves Bread and Circuses is of course a signed blank check for unlimited government power.
Transforming immigration from a way to import a labor force to help maintain a vital economy, into a stream of migrants draining social services and raising taxes on actual workers and companies is symptomatic of an agenda that calls for changing a country based on free enterprise, into one based on government handouts.

As the Obama administration continues to founder, administration “insiders” will write more and more “tell-all” books — not that I’ll buy any of them. I refuse to give any money to anyone who signed on to help sell a sham but then bailed out when it all went south and later tried to profit from telling everybody how awful the sham was.
Former “Car Czar” Steve Rattner has written the first book of this nature, and there’s an item alleged in Rattner’s book that piqued my interest, mainly because it has a certain “Three Stooges questioning the competence of the Keystone Cops” feel to it:
Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D), dejected about the possibility the automakers would have to file for bankruptcy, tells Obama in a voice barely above a whisper: “I hope you know what you’re doing.”
Of course he knew what he was doing — it was a huge union bailout without regard to the economic consequence to the rest of the country. Besides, Obama didn’t have to know how to run a car company, he did the logical thing and hired a telecommunications executive with no auto background to do that. What’s the problem?
This comment is alleged to have come from one of Obama’s economic advisors (I guess Obama wanted to make the economy of the whole country look like Michigan’s and needed Jenny to serve as a road map for how to get there) from an auto-producing state — shouldn’t she have known if what he was doing was the right thing or not? Trick question — of course not — look at Michigan’s economy after many years of Jennifer Granholm’s leadership.
The Blog Prof examines a few more choice quotes from Rattner’s book that paints Obama as an economically clueless community organizer.
With that in mind, in his speech in Milwaukee today, President Obama will announce an additional $50 billion in infrastructure spending. Yeah, that’s what voters have been waiting for — more spending. Should be a good sell on the campaign trail.

But first; does one actually exist in our country? From all appearances it would not seem that a judge who would rule fairly and constitutionally on the question of eligibility of Barack H. Obama to rule as President and Commander in Chief of our armed services can be found.
As reported online in the American Grand Jury article “Md. Judge Denies Request for Obama’s School Records” (that could include a copy of Obama’s birth certificate) September 02, 2010 it becomes obvious there are none.
Our collection of judges may have many, if not all, who could be in a position of being able to rule fairly and Constitutionally on such a question as Obama’s eligibility but finding just one who is not in fear of making such a ruling or is not in the pockets of those who favor leaving the question unanswered, as the presidential usurper does, is doubtful. Just ask attorneys Phillip Berg or Orly Taitz who have seen judges turn on them for trying.
I am of the opinion that most of our judges who swear to uphold the Constitution before they can become a judge, rapidly determine not to uphold it once they have their plum of acceptance because if they practiced law in accordance with that all-important document they could not legislate from their position on the bench as they all do once the ego factor consumes any common sense they may have once had.
Now we have another self-important judge, Army Col. Denise R. Lind, ruling against a decorated veteran of our military forces, Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin; an 18 year career of bravery and honor and unconditional service to our country, and an obviously intimidated and cowardly court official in fear of ruling against a sitting president, deciding that it was “not relevant” for the military to be considering such claims.
Basically, what that means is that if you are in the military you no longer have protection under the Constitution; that very document that you swore to uphold on entry into military service. This spineless dispenser of judicial equality feels that the chain of command in the military that led up to the Pentagon should have been sufficient for Lt. Col. Lakin. Apparently overlooked by this judge was that Obama, as Commander in Chief, is the overall authority for all the military services.
To say that the authority ends at the Pentagon is grossly incorrect. That is like saying that the chain of command for family discipline leads up to the oldest son, instead of the father. Obama makes a big point of being the Commander in Chief and though never having had to render a salute in all of his life before, now relishes in returning the salute from the military people as he debarks from Air Force One.
And if Judge Lind is correct, what is the purpose in having people entering the military service swear to uphold the Constitution? Why swear to uphold something that does not apply to you?

In the opinion of usurper president and U. S. Constitution destroyer Barack H. Obama, there is no legitimacy in any state to seek its own protection from foreign invasion with its concurrent and resultant damage to life, limb and property.
The Preamble to the Constitution lists the requirements of the federal government to our nation’s security. One of those requirements is to “provide for the common defense.” This is one of the responsibilities granted to the federals by the states. If the feds can not or will not ‘provide for the common defense’, it is only reasonable that the state or states will have to do it themselves due to the abdication of responsibility by the federal government.
This is the situation in Arizona. Hordes of illegal aliens have been coming across the federally controlled and unprotected borders; Obama and his inefficient Attorney General and Chief of Homeland Security with their malfeasant and contrary to law refusal to act in accordance with our Constitution’s mandates, do unnecessarily place the legitimate citizens of Arizona and the United States, in serious jeopardy.
The only recourse for the Arizonans is to reclaim the responsibility for the provision of the common defense for their own protection. An analogy would be when parents abandon their children leaving them unprotected and predators seeing this try to move in and harm the children and take over their home. The children are physically and mentally mature enough to fight off the offenders and do so in order to prevent even more serious injury or death at the hands of the law breakers.
Days later the parents return and they see the children had to defend themselves against illegal alien attackers; what do they do; berate the children for protecting themselves because it was not what they were supposed to do even though they, the parents, weren’t there to do it? I rather doubt that would happen as the parents would be so thankful the children weren’t hurt they would be joyous and promise to never leave them unprotected again.
However my friends, this is not how the Constitution is interpreted by the type of un-American creatures that inhabit and attempt to control our nation in this Administration. Using the same analogy as above, Obama and AG Holder would have the kids arrested and charged with disobedience of government orders.
Obama proves over and over again his absolute disdain for our Constitution and his deep hate for our country. His every speech contains at least one derogatory comment about the United States, and an equal amount of how great is the world of Islam. And there are some people who just can’t see the truth for all of the lies that come out of his mouth.

Last night Obama delivered a speech about a war that he exploited for political advantage during the election, and ignored the rest of the time. A war that he tried to sabotage as a Senator, and neglected once in the White House. Where Bush conducted constant conferences with commanders in the field, Obama has let the clashing egos of former Clinton Administration staffers, and a few imported radicals, determine how the war will be conducted. Of all the charges leveled at Bush over the war, he could never be accused of just not giving a damn. Yet that is exactly the case with Obama. He just doesn’t give a damn.

While US soldiers are still dying in Iraq, Obama did his best to take credit for ending combat operations. And used his speech as a opportunity to show off his new Oval Office decor. The level of tone deafness involved in using a wartime speech to show off your new office furnishings, while most Americans are cutting back is completely incomprehensible. It shows a profound contempt for both topic and audience, and a self-involvement that borders on the pathological. It’s as if Obama only managed to interrupt his countless rounds of golf and his vacations, just to put on his best sad face and show off his new rug.
Obama has never had much patience for doing the hard work of governing the country. Instead he shuttled from country to country, golf course to golf course, and resort to resort– while shifting the real work onto congress and his aides, who shifted it onto their aides. What America got was the unlimited power fantasies of immature radicals with no responsibility given flesh in legislation that hardly anyone in the majority party seemed to even bother to read. Meanwhile, having confused his job with that of a King or a Pope, Barry dispensed his wisdom on every random topic from police procedures in Massachusetts to sports picks in the NBA and the NFL. It was as if Obama did not understand that he had won the right to do a very difficult and unpopular job. Instead like the contestant who is picked out of the audience at a game show, he only seemed to understand that he was suddenly very rich and famous.
The Obama Administration hopelessly blurred the lines between Reality television and politics, giving us a self-indulgent child in the Oval Office, who is always eager to pose for photos and be fawned upon, but does not understand that he has responsibilities, rather than unchecked powers. The difference between Barack Obama and Levi Johnston, is not in intelligence or ethics, it’s in marketability. Obama was the ultimate marketable candidate. And the equivalent of the economies of some small countries were spent marketing the hell out of him. But how do you market failure? And what do you tell customers when the product they bought turns out to have nothing inside?

Barack Obama, 2002:

What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other armchair, weekend warriors in this administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne.
What I am opposed to is the attempt by political hacks like Karl Rove to distract us from a rise in the uninsured, a rise in the poverty rate, a drop in the median income, to distract us from corporate scandals and a stock market that has just gone through the worst month since the Great Depression.
That’s what I’m opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics.
Barack Obama, 2010:
In a radio interview with CBS News, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said President Obama will emphasize that “We are putting the Iraqis in control of their history and their future. They’ll have responsibility for security and responsibility for providing for the citizens of that country. That is a milestone worth barking.”
Just hours before the president speaks from the Oval Office, Gibbs said the speech would emphasize “the milestone of the end of our combat mission,” and said Mr. Obama will say, “The story of the Iraqis will be written by the Iraqis.”
…While Iraq has seen political turmoil for months, Gibbs insists the caretaker government is stable. He predicts “in very short order” the Iraqis will have a government in place. The spokesman said the president will tell Iraqis, “with our help as allies, you will be able to chart your future and your course as you determine.”
Gibbs also had a terse response to Republicans challenging the president to give credit to the troop surge ordered by former President George. W. Bush — a move opposed by then-Senator Obama.
Gibbs acknowledged that “the surge improved security conditions in Iraq.” But, he added, “I think the only question that matters for them (Republicans) today — we can look back in history, but the question that matters today is, where are you on bringing more than 90,000 troops out of Iraq right now? Do you support the president’s timeline for ending our combat operation in Iraq? That’s the question I’d like to hear answered by those Republicans.”
President Obama will also call George W. Bush today for what Gibbs describes as an “appropriate time” to thank him for his “love of country as we end the combat mission.”
No word on whether Obama will apologize for his past political hackery and cynical attacks on those in the Bush administration who supported the troop surge that made his speech tonight possible.
The Denver Post reminds folks in my state that while the combat mission is “ending,” our troops are not coming home anytime soon.

After turning NYC over to the Islamists and leftist sympathizers, via endorsing their 9/11 Victory Mosque (any Muslim project called “The Cordoba Initiative” has to be just that), Dictator-in-Chief Obama believes that he has found the way to both destroy opposition to his Orwellian plans for the former United States of America and introduce OUR country’s final demise. For attempting to do that which the Obama refuses to do (his job under the US Constitution — not George Soros and friends), the tyrant has now turned Arizona and the twenty-two other US States trying to protect their citizens over the patently corrupt (Obama’s kind of organization) United Nations as “human rights violators.” Now disregarding the US Constitution and US law entirely — and getting away with it — The Obama and his worldwide anti-US Marxist minions have begun to divvy up the booty from that which was once America. Note: Despite our protests and marches, Obama believes he silenced We-the-People long ago. Didn’t Hugo Chavez affect something similar in Venezuela? But, let’s face the truth, folks. Even Chavez didn’t try to destroy his OWN country. But, considering his true birth place, neither did Obama.
In his boldest move yet to destroy OUR country, Dictator-in-Chief Obama has now decided to bring the full force of the world against those who oppose their own slavery at his and his masters’ hands. And the overseers at the United Nations are applauding The Obama’s move. As the people of the United States of America are — in greater and greater numbers each and every day — supporting Arizona and other states for working to protect US citizens from the now unstopped marching phalanges of illegal immigrants composed of drug cartel members, Central American gangs, Hezbollah, other middle eastern terrorists and millions of others who sap the resources of sovereign States (entering via our southern border), the tyrant believes he has found a way to stop the States and us.
Now “elevating” himself to the level of an Islamic Mufti, Obama has effectively issued a fatwa against Arizona and every other US State that opposes their own demise. Obama has issued an, heretofore, unprecedented report to the “UN High Commissioner for Human Rights” (a bad joke considering the organization itself) outlining his carefully crafted and manufactured ‘horrors’ the USA has committed against humans (I suspect that means freedom and liberty are two of them), he has given full sway to the UN to go after any US States that do not comply with the tyrant’s (and soon to be King of the World?) commandments. Suffice it to say, the UN is more than pleased to do so!

I attended Glenn Beck’s honor rally on the mall today. I took photos and video. Nothing I could post here could possibly make you realize how enormous the event was. Not from my vantage point anyway. It was a nice event. Moving and at times cheesy. There was no politics. All I heard and observed were speeches and videos about military heroism and God.
We started our journey being jammed in the Metro train. Like the DC Rally of last Sept. it was incredibly packed. We stayed on the train until the Smithsonian stop and piled out on the DC streets with the rest of the herd. We moved toward the mall and Washington’s monument. It was at this point we began to realize the enormity of what was before us. There were people already sitting in their chairs beneath the Washington Monument. We walked down past the WW2 memorial and tried to make our way as close as we could. We got about half way before we said enough and found us a patch of grass to sit on under the trees. We had a good view of one of the screens and could here the presentation just fine. We had virtually no view of the stage. I could just make out a tiny dot the were the speakers as they walked around as they spoke to the crowd.
I’ve read media reports of the event. The AP claims tens of thousands showed up. ABCNews said 300,000. The AP said activists were handing out Obama Hitler brochures. We never saw anything of the sort. You would never have been able to find one if you wanted one as proof. It was just typical smearing from the left. We get it and aren’t surprised.
The truth is with the people there. We know what we saw. We know why we came. We know the country that we care about is imperil by statists. We are standing now to fight against the left. It scares the hell out of them. That’s why they try to minimize events like this.
Unless you come to Tea Parties or rallies you have no idea what people are feeling right now. You ignore us at your peril. You try to marginalize us using the media. But if you want to know the truth about events like this, don’t expect the media to honestly cover it.
The story should be who these people that attended today are. How far they came. How much money they spent to get here. Thousands sacrificed time and money to stand with each other to restore honor to this country. It was a good day. One in which the left and media will never understand.

The crowd attending the "Restoring Honor" rally, organized by Glenn Beck, is seen from the top of the Washington Monument in Washington, on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010. In the foreground is the National World War II Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial is at the top. (AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin)
A crowd estimated to be around 300,000 gathered on the national Mall Saturday for a three-hour rally led by Fox News personality Glenn Beck, who held largely true to his promise to keep the event nonpolitical and instead conducted something of an old-style religious revival meeting that meandered between calls for moral renewal, racial unity, self-government, and support for the U.S. military.
Beck, who shed a neck tie midway through the event and appeared to be wearing a bulletproof vest, was a constant presence onstage during the rally, dominating the message and speaking nonstop for the entire third hour. The only other major speaker was former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who devoted most of her 17-minute speech to honoring military veterans and telling their stories.
That left Beck as essentially the host of his own three-hour special on the Mall, with a historic crowd lending him a dramatically enlarged platform. Beck showed his talent for oratory and cemented his place as a notable and unusual figure in American political history, and along the way raised what he said was $5.5 million for the families of special operations soldiers killed or wounded in the line of duty. But Beck’s message throughout likely came as a surprise to many who don’t usually watch his show, who see him as mostly a loud and dramatic critic of President Obama.
The Beck rally was a mixture of religion, public relations and political philosophy. After predicting the beginning of another Great Awakening at a Kennedy Center event on Friday night, Beck strode back and forth across the massive but spartan stage set, keeping his rhetoric long on motivational generalities but short on specifics.
Arguably, the energy in the country that drove so many people to attend the rally came from concern about government spending and debt, as well as its size and its growing involvement in the private sector and individual lives. But Beck, who is a Mormon, titled the Saturday rally “Restoring Honor” and used that theme to talk about the need for Americans to return to God themselves as individuals and live upright, moral lives.
“If we want our country to survive, we must begin to look within ourselves,” Beck said. “To restore America we must restore ourselves.”
Beck’s presupposition was that America is at a crisis point and its citizens are in danger of losing their power for self-government because they have grown lazy and apathetic and allowed it to atrophy.
“America is great because America is good … America is only what we choose her to be, we as individuals must be good so America can be great,” he said. “We’ve grown tired. We’ve grown weak. We’re dividing ourselves. There is growing hatred in the country.
