Good news: Nancy Pelosi wants the budget to be balanced. Granted she wants it done after she’s long gone and the sun has collapsed into a white dwarf, but it’s a start:

During her weekly press conference on Capitol Hill, CNSNews.com asked Pelosi if she agreed with President Barack Obama’s recent remarks that America does not have an “immediate” debt crisis. The U.S. debt as of Wednesday stands at $16.7 trillion.

“Well, I believe that we’re on a path to reduce the deficit,” Pelosi said. “And I would say that — count me as one who would say I want us to be on a path to balance the budget in a number of decades.”

“You can’t do it in one decade,” she said. “Not after what we have been through.” [i.e. a Pelosi speakership - DP]

Pelosi added that there was an “explosion” of debt during the Bush administration.

Well, naturally:

Pelosi obviously didn’t admit that Bush’s debt explosion carried over quite a bit, and then some.

Other Dems will undoubtedly find Pelosi’s clarion call to “balance the budget within a few decades” far too fiscally aggressive.

The verdict is in on the Tolouse killings of Jewish children and the villain is that old standby, “Failure to Integrate”. What it comes down to is that Mohammed Merah did not kill Jewish children because he hated Jews, because he had breathed in the foul poisonous vapors of a creed which believes Jews to be subhuman devils whose destruction must come to pass before the golden age of Islam finally arrives. Mohammed Merah killed Jews because he was unhappy and it was France that made him unhappy.

Murder across religious and ethnic boundaries in Europe is inevitably a crime against multiculturalism. If someone kills a Muslim, it’s an assault on multiculturalism. If a Muslim kills someone, it’s also an assault on multiculturalism. Whoever ends up in the morgue, the incident becomes a clarion call for recommitting ourselves to more multiculturalism.

It’s unsurprising then that the real villains of the Tolouse killings are Sarkozy for banning burqas, Marine LePen for being critical of Islam and anyone who employs words or images which make Muslims feel unwelcome in France. Alienate a Muslim from French society and before you know it he’s shooting up some children in order to express his grievances about integration. Fail to make him happy and the blood of his victims is on your hands.

Tariq Ramadan, the epitome of the modern moderate Muslim thinker, explained that Mohammed Merah was only a bit confused and “soft-hearted”. Ramadan does have a point. When Mohammed Merah grabbed a little girl, put a gun to her head and pulled the trigger, he was being soft-hearted by the standards of the Muslim Jihadis back in Afghanistan or Iraq. After all he didn’t torture or rape her first. By Islamic mores that is soft-hearted.

As the debate has shifted to Muslim integration, Muslim happiness and how Muslims see the killings, the actual victims of the attack have receded into the distance, over that far horizon where dead Jews go until they are wanted by the champions of progress and enlightenment to make a point about tolerance. That is where the six million sleep, wakened to occasionally stir from the tomb and appear at a Holocaust museum or at a film showing whose message is that we must learn to be more tolerant. But somehow the only people we need to learn to be tolerant of are the people killing us.

Jewish suffering has been universalized into multicultural pablum that has nothing to do with Jews anymore. The hijacking of Jewish history has been so comprehensive that Jews have become the new Nazis in the mythology of multiculturalism. They wear uniforms, don’t they. They have a state that they’re proud of. And they’re fighting against all the Mohammed Merahs who only kill because they haven’t gotten their fill of tolerance. Clearly Jews are the new Nazis.

No other ethno-religious group has been subject to the same vile mockery from the left, the complete disregard for their history and civil rights as the Jews. To mention the Holocaust in the context of a potential Jewish genocide is an invitation to being ridiculed or accused of exploiting history, by the same people who shamelessly exploit it when they want to bomb Yugoslavia or protest against budget cuts for minority studies programs.

Thank you for your courageous decision to run for president as a conservative Republican. I am sure you anticipated opposition from the left. But, no one could have possibly anticipated the current level of intense hatred and vitriolic desire to politically tie a rope around your neck and drag your black bludgeoned dead carcass through the streets in the mud. Wow! Lord help us.

I thank you because your decision to run is much bigger than you. At a time when something has gone terribly wrong in the black community; 70% black high school dropout rate and 73% out of wedlock births, black youths need to see a man such as you; one of character and self reliance.

Your remarkable life story equals a nuclear bomb of truth being thrown into the black community. Your success derails the “you cannot succeed without us and our programs” rhetoric Democrats have been selling to blacks for the past 50 years. Desperate and frantic, the Democrat’s clarion call to their minions and the liberal media is politically, Herman Cain MUST DIE!

Channel surfing, I was stunned, shocked and outraged. The same white liberal pundits who, without a shred of evidence, declared the tea party racist, were all over TV ravenously “high tech lynching” you, a black man for being a conservative republican. These pious, self proclaimed most tolerant among us, viciously attacked you in every way from your character to your intellect. It was shameful and evil. It made me extremely angry.

The Tea Party has grown tremendously, not only in numbers, but in depth over the past two and half years. Tried and true liberal media “hit” tactics no longer work. We began as fragmented bans of frustrated citizens fearful of the direction Obama and company is taking our country. Today, the Tea Party has developed into numerous organized groups, an army of patriots; well prepared, well-informed and ready for political battle.

Along with our earned political sophistication comes total awareness of the pathetically transparent attempt to knock-you-out of the presidential race via ridiculously weak charges of sexual harassment. Again, displaying their arrogance and shameful hypocrisy, the same people who are attacking you rallied around their beloved poster boy of “proven” sexual harassment, Bill Clinton.

While the original source of the political sexual harassment attack on you is debatable, the left has joyfully picked up the ball and run with it, piling on daily with unsubstantiated embellishments.

Rest assured my brother, their efforts to destroy you are proving fruitless, as evidenced by the rise in financial contributions to your presidential campaign.

Please forgive me for presuming to speak for the Christians in our tea party family when I say we are praying for you. I personally believe and offer this scripture to you, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

So, let the evil left do their thing. Let them relentlessly labor at their, “got to take out the n — ” campaign. I gleefully report, “It ain’t workin’!”

These knucklehead liberal political hacks and their media are stuck in the past. They erroneously still believe they set the rules, can successfully “take-out” our candidates and can anoint our candidates. They are mistaken.

OWEbama is the living proof that the progressive playbook is still polluted with the Bolshevik bile of “separatism”. The first socialist salvo in this blasphemy was the “class separation” of “taxing the rich” just a few short weeks ago and now OWEbama wants to further separate the races.. He told a group of blacks yesterday to “stop complainin’ and put on your marching shoes”, (Yahoo News “Obama tells blacks to ‘stop complainin’ and fight” 09/25/2011) tomorrow when he has his hat in his hand and he is surrounded by “white devils” he will be crooning to those prostrated progressives that he is a “unifier, not a divider”.. The sad thing is, they will believe it..

OWEbama decided to drop by the BLACK “separate but equal” Caucus gathering where he allegedly gave a “fiery summons to an important voting bloc” (make that ‘voting black’) where he told the ASSembled minority minions to “follow him into battle for jobs and opportunity..” You have got to be kidding me..

That seals it. “Democratic Denial” HAS to be considered by the American Psychiatric Institution to be a terminal illness that is also highly contagious.. “Follow him into battle”? This group of blacks “followed” him in 2008 to the tune of 65 percent of eligible black voters voting and of that percentage, at LEAST 95 percent cast AT LEAST one vote for OWEbama. Part of this “group” also known as ACORN, did yeoman’s work in collecting and casting the votes of Mickey and Minnie Mouse and entire professional football teams.. Blacks have MORE than proved to be the most dedicated of “followers” to the collectivist clarion call of indentured servitude, regardless of the blackness or the not-so blackness of the Democratic candidate.

“Opportunity”? OWEbama has destroyed his “opportunity”, an “opportunity” that was completely unencumbered by Republicans for at least two and a half years. OWEbama made the MOST of this “opportunity” by creating a PERMANENT ten percent unemployment rate, spending the economy into a depression, destroying jobs at an “historic” rate and manufacturing the OWEbama downgrade, the ONLY manufacturing that is being done in the United States anymore..

“Opportunity”? In this bogus age of “racial recognition”, blacks with just a minimum of application can have positions “set aside” for them based upon their pigmentation alone, whether they are even the least bit “qualified” for the position in question is absolutely irrelevant.. “Opportunity” is EVERWHERE for blacks, just winding the horn of “racism” gets any of them anything that they want. America is dying to bend over blackwards for them.. These “complainin’” people don’t want “opportunity”, this is minority based liberalism, what they want are “guarantees”..

“Quit crying and stop complainin’”? “Crying and complainin’” have been the cornerstones of the black separatist’s socialist soliloquies for decades having replaced “hard work and individual effort”. Once the blacks figured out that being an imaginary “victim” was easier on the back than doing the actual stoop work, all bets were off.. Assemble a few blacks, staple together a few misspelled placards, call the “impartial” media to “report” the nonsense at the top and bottom of every “news” hour and suddenly everyone within the liberal black voting bloc gets a “raise” in their “benefits” paid for by the folks that OWEbama wants to keep “separated” from the blacks..

Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door. This has been the clarion call of marketplaces around the world since the beginning.

During the late Neolithic and early Bronze Ages, a culture sprang up through most of Europe called the Bell-Beaker culture. Extensive trade based on people’s desires, wants and needs crossed inter-tribal and cultural lines. Known for their distinctive bell-shaped pottery it was probably the world’s first example of an idea or product going viral. Used for everything from drinking vessels for beer or mead (a sort of wine made from fermented honey and water) to smelting vessels for bronze, copper and gold, and funerary urns.

The obvious point being, before I get too far afield with this, is that there was a marketplace for these goods and services that crossed cultural and ethnic lines. Trade for goods and services was established wherever the need arose apart from, or perhaps in spite of, tribal warfare and conflict.

Examples are many, flint nodules found hundreds of miles from any source, finished products such as arrowheads, hand-axes, flensing tools and baskets. There are many examples of that here on the west coast of America. There was extensive trade among the Native American culture here on the west coast of the United States.

So… inventing the better mousetrap is then only a part of the success story. You have to have: (a) a mouse trap that works and (b) someone who has the wants, needs or desire to possess that better mousetrap. These have been the bases for business and trade for thousands of years.
We no longer trade for hides, flint knapping tools or arrowheads, but the principles of trade have not changed. You have to have a market.

We have today in America a situation where the ‘governing elite’ have supplanted the marketplace with ideological tyranny. Governmental assault on all fronts against the people who supply the goods and services that people want. Using the ever-ephemeral mantra of ‘sustainable’ this and ‘sustainable’ that, they have completely reversed the formula. Using the communist-inspired so-called ‘Green Revolution’, they have created whole industries based on a liberal amount of junk science.

That there is no want, desire or need for these industries hasn’t seemed to matter. It’s like taking a square block and trying to drive it through a round hole. The best you can expect is a handful of splinters. So if the block doesn’t fit, destroy the the hole… an obvious reference to the Barack Hussein Obama regime’s assault on America’s energy sector.

Solar and wind powered energy technologies will never represent anything other than a fraction of our energy requirements, yet the boneheads of the Obama regime continue the lemming-like rush to the precipice of economic destruction.

Solyndra, Evergreen Solar, Spectra Watt and Mountain Plaza are the most recent examples. All were feeding at the government trough, your dollars and mine flushed down the stinking sewer of ideologically driven political expediency.
This regime has much to answer for.

Sarah Palin inspired her typical extraordinary level of excitement and attendance at our Tea Party Express V national bus tour rally in Manchester, NH. I overheard a national reporter commenting to two of our staff members, “Yeah, Palin draws a crowd but they are all missing teeth.”

I was furious! I wanted to say, “How dare you? You arrogant jerk!” I held my tongue as a representative of Tea Party Express.

After attending over 200 tea parties on six national bus tours, I can assure you the majority of the attendees are extremely well informed, educated, articulate and patriotic Americans. They are not stupid rednecks as the reporter’s comment implied. Unfortunately, the snobby reporter’s view of the tea party is shared by the liberal Obama sycophant media.

At our Tea Party Express rally in Providence, RI, a former Marine and his adult son stood in the rain and wept along with others as I sang “God Bless the USA.” We embraced as brothers in our love for the greatest nation on the planet. Feeling the warmth which filled the air as I sang, I commented to the audience, “Does this feel like hate to you?”

And yet, the Congressional Black Caucus claimed these same Tea Party patriots desire to see me, a black man, “hung from a tree”.

So, the consensus of the left and liberal media is the Tea Party is white ignorant violent racists. Their strategic branding of the Tea Party is designed to justify the Obama administration’s vitriolic language which include threats of violence.

Jimmy Hoffa referring to the Tea Party sent out his union thug clarion call to “take the sons of b***** out!” Decent hard working American Tea Party activists are now fearful for their lives.

My dad says while a snake can swim under water like a fish for a very long time, eventually it must come up for air because it is not a fish. It is a snake.

Obama pretends to be a president. But when pressured, the real Obama comes up for air revealing himself to be a community organizer; a rabble-rousing promoter of entitlements and class envy willfully dividing Americans along racial lines. Obama and his minions are evil.

We have seen Obama in numerous cowboy movies. Obama is the loud mouth guy standing on the steps of the jail-house yelling at the crowd. He works the crowd into a frenzy causing them to overrule the sheriff and the law, drag out the prisoner and hang him without a trial.

Since the beginning of his presidency, on numerous occasions, our community-organizer-in -chief has worked his minions into a frenzy to punish white police, banks, Wall Street, corporate CEOs, private jet owners, Arizonians, insurance companies, doctors, the rich, and anyone opposing Obamacare.

As testimony to the effectiveness of the Tea Party, Obama has instructed his minions, Congressional Black Caucus and unions to escalate their slander and level of vitriol which now includes threat of violence. The left has set aside September 17th as their National Day of Rage. Lord knows what evil they have scheduled. The left has created a violent hate-filled game titled, “Tea Party Zombies Must Die.” www.teapartyzombiesmustdie.com

Meanwhile, the liberal media appears tone deaf to the lies, hate, anger and violence coming from the left.

During President Obama’s upcoming job speech, if you do a shot whenever you hear the words “invest in clean energy” you’ll be asleep before the teleprompter’s internal cooling fan kicks into action.

Not that it was necessary, but here’s yet another reason to be extremely wary of that repeated green clarion call:

A California-based solar company that received a $535 million loan guarantee from the Obama administration announced Wednesday that it will shut down.

The company, Solyndra Inc., said Wednesday it would suspend its manufacturing operations and lay off 1,100 employees effective immediately. The company said it intends to file a petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

“Regulatory and policy uncertainties in recent months created significant near-term excess supply and price erosion,” Solyndra CEO Brian Harrison said in a statement. “Raising incremental capital in this environment was not possible. This was an unexpected outcome and is most unfortunate.”

The announcement comes at a tough time for the solar industry, which has faced free-falling solar panel prices.

But the Obama administration has doubled-down on its investments in the industry. The Energy Department finalized last week an $852 million loan guarantee for a separate California solar project sponsored by NextEra Energy. Earlier in August, DOE finalized a $197 million loan guarantee for solar manufacturing facilities in Oregon and California.

In July of this year, smelling a carbon-neutral rat, Republicans subpoenaed documents associated with the Energy Department’s loan guarantee to Solyndra:

The Oversight and Investigations subcommittee voted 14-8 along party lines to subpoena the White House Office of Management and Budget for documents related to DOE’s 2009 $535 million loan guarantee to Solyndra Inc. The loan guarantee helped finance the construction of a new plant to manufacture solar panels.

Republicans on the subcommittee launched an investigation into the loan guarantee after Solyndra canceled plans to go public and closed down an existing plant.

Solyndra said Thursday that its financial outlook is strong. CEO Brian Harrison, in a statement, said the company is “growing rapidly.”

The Republicans were right to be suspicious.

Last year, the company had the additional burden of direct exposure to the “Reverse Midas Touch”:

During a visit to the Fremont facility in spring of 2010, the President said the factory “is just a testament to American ingenuity and dynamism and the fact that we continue to have the best universities in the world, the best technology in the world, and most importantly the best workers in the world.”

Not long ago, Evergreen Solar, the recipient of a $58 million financial aid package from the state of Massachusetts, filed for bankruptcy.

Maybe if the administration would have followed through with the promise to install solar panels on the White House these companies would have had a little more business.

Solyndra is the third U.S. solar manufacturer to file for bankruptcy in a month as falling panel prices and weak global demand is driving a wave of industry consolidation.

This article is not about endorsing Sarah Palin for president. It is about illustrating the liberal media’s ability to brand an image. Case in point, conservatives saying Palin is not smart enough to be president.

The Left launched their “Sarah Palin is Stupid” campaign the next day after her incredible VP nomination acceptance speech. A woman, pretty, smart, witty, confident and bold with an ability to inspire and fire up the conservative base, Sarah Palin was the Left’s worst nightmare. They were livid. The only thing which could have made it worse would have been if Palin was black. The Left would have surely lost their minds.

The clarion call went out,“Palin MUST be destroyed!”

When Sarah Palin appeared on Saturday Night Live, I watched with a bunch of my conservative friends. My friends laughed and made comments such as, “This is great. It shows Palin is a good sport and doesn’t take herself too seriously.”

I thought, “This is wrong. Why help the Left sell the message to their audience that Palin is stupid?” Humor is a powerful sales tool.

The assault on Palin’s intellect intensified daily. Every word out of Palin’s mouth was dissected and placed under a microscope. Then, viewed through a lens tainted with the paradigm that “Palin is stupid”. Who amongst us could withstand our every utterance judged with such extreme scrutiny?

Conservatives saying under their breath at cocktail parties that Palin isn’t too bright is evidence the liberal media’s branding of her has worked on some level.

Frustratingly, the facts completely prove otherwise. Palin was extremely successful as Governor of Alaska.

For crying out loud, what has His Royal Obamaness achieved qualifying him to run the country? Nothing. Obama was a community organizer. He taught people they were entitled victims of an unfair America and how to extort freebies. He only served 144 days in the senate before running for president.

Obama’s presidential qualifications: He is half black and liberal. This won him 100% liberal media support and 96% of the black vote. Obama is well spoken and looked good in a swim suit.

Remember when Obama said America had 57 states? Immediately to his defense, the liberal media said, “Obama was tired”. Imagine if Palin had said the same thing. The liberal media would have gagged us with at least three days of 24/7 coverage of the story. Every report would parrot the same mantra, “This conservative woman is truly an idiot.”

While the liberal media no longer enjoys their Walter Cronkite single voice “bully pulpit,” their ability to brand a person or issue is still quite powerful. They took a man who had never run a business, state or donut shop and convinced millions of Americans he was a political leader unlike any before him. Obama was the smartest guy in the room; eminently qualified to run America and probably the world.

Brilliantly despicable, the liberal media exploited Obama’s race to get their liberal black guy elected.

For two long years this column, along with most other conservative writers, have trumpeted the mastery of the conservative message in the face of the rising tide of Marxist totalitarianism. The very mission statement of this column, “The light of freedom and truth in the defense of our republic”, is a clarion call to action.

Today’s conservative is most likely to be in the Patriot Movement or be in sympathy with the Tea Party Patriots’ aims. No surprises there, 60 to 80 million American voters agree very strongly with the Tea Party ‘platform’, if there is such a thing. If we have a platform it would have to be the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.

Consequences… they’re all around us. To most of us, consequences are the result of ill-considered actions or decisions. To the Marxist liberal there can be no constraint from mere consequences, because of the ‘purity’ of the liberal progressive motive. Purity of intent is a rising tide that lifts all boats in the murky shadow world of ‘communism light’. History is strewn with the debris of such philosophy.

The inner workings of the Marxist movement were displayed as never before, due to the intensity of the exposure provided by the conservative news media and the conservative blogosphere. The consequences of the last election haven’t all been felt yet… far from it.

That election tsunami was the direct result of the American voting public’s exposure to the monstrous statist ideology of Barack Obama, the main stream leftist media, his DeMarxist Congress, and the patriotic constitutional movements known collectively as the Tea Parties. It wasn’t even close. Americans prefer the Constitutional Republican/Tea Party by way over 60%.

Truth does count and people sense it. They seek it like a moth to flame.
Truth and freedom… they are insuperable.

Giants closer Brian Wilson.

Sorry, folks. Couldn’t help myself. This column, or at least half of it, originates in the greater SF Bay Area. This team is peaking at just the perfect time. We wish the Giants good fortune in the World Series this week. I hope this doesn’t cost me my American League readers (grin).

I’m minded of the similarity of the last-stretch drive of the Patriots of this country to the election, and the Giants’ final run to the World Series. It’s been a story of the Patriot drive to wrest this great nation from impending destruction at the hands of ideologically driven socialists.

Leftist pundits and politicians have been predicting the demise of the Tea Party and Patriot movement practically from the moment that Rick Santelli coined the phrase. Many loosely organized groups of friends and neighbors predated Rick, but it turned out to be the clarion call that went from coast to coast in days, as Americans voiced alarm and anger over a totally unresponsive rogue, runaway government. Every time they said we were finished we grew exponentially. Now they are looking at a nationwide patriot movement numbering a couple of million voters… and counting. People are still flooding to the Conservative banner.

The left doesn’t understand freedom. It’s no more complicated than that. There is some basic personality flaw that must affect all liberals equally. They are the most hateful, miserable creatures alive. Always blaming or looking to blame. Always complaining even when there is no cause for complaint. Slavishly subservient to the secular god of government. Government is liberalism’s be-all and end-all. It’s their shining palace on the hill and their highest aspiration.

I’m positive that Barack Obama never anticipated the spontaneous uprising of American patriotism that he and his Marxist buddies encountered. Barack Obama never bonded with this or any country. As a kid he was knocked from pillar to post, as my grandmother would have said. He never put down roots. His family was liberal and had anti-American feelings. His mentor was a communist party operative who bathed him in the communist doctrine. All of his associations are anti-American and many are Marxists or, like Frank Marshall Davis, an out-and-out communist.

Is it any wonder that Obama just does not get it where freedom is concerned?
That’s what is going to defeat him. That’s what is going to defeat his party on November 2.
