Sometimes I see something in my e-mail stream that rings with the absolute truth …

  ATTENTION!

clip_image004

To ALL those whining, panty-waisted, pathetic Citizens, it’s time for a little refresher course on exactly why we Americans occasionally have to fight wars to keep this nation great.

clip_image005

clip_image006

See if you can tear yourself away from your “reality” TV and Starbucks for a minute, pull your head out of your ass — and LISTEN UP!!

Abu Ghraib is not “torture” or an “atrocity.”

Got that ?

clip_image008

THIS IS an atrocity!

clip_image009

clip_image010

So Was This!!!

WHICH PART DON’T YOU GET?

Islam Extremists are peaceful people? My Ass!

Millions of these warped misled sons-of-bitches are plotting, as we speak, to destroy our country and our way of life any way they can.

Some of them are here among us now.

They don’t want to convert you and don’t want to rule you. They believe you are a vile infestation of Allah’s paradise. They don’t give a shit how “progressive” you are, how peace-loving you are, or how much you sympathize with their cause.

clip_image013They want your ass dead, and they think it is God’s will for them to do it.

Some Americans think if we give them a hug or listen to them, then they’ll like us

— if you agree —

Then you are a pathetic dumb ass!

If they manage to get their hands on a nuke, chemical agents, or even some anthrax — you will wish to God we had hunted them down and killed THEM while we had the chance.

How many more Americans must be beheaded?

You’ve fallen asleep AGAIN – get your head out of your ass!

You may never get another chance!

NOW GET OFF YOUR SORRY ASS

And pass this on to any and every person you give a damn about – if you ever gave a damn about anything!

DISMISSED!

Do you have enough guts to forward this email? I did.

Bottom line …

Sometime in this age of politically correct Generals, relieved of command for their “sexual activities” or inability to speak respectfully in politically correct tones when they see America being attacked by our enemies, both foreign and domestic … we need to remind ourselves there was a time when our politicians fought for America – and on the side of the American people – and did not provide aid and comfort to the enemy. Or disrespect our friends and allies while sucking up to our enemies.

It is routinely acknowledged that General Patton was a flawed individual. A man with a messianic complex, a man who was virulently anti-Semitic, and a man who thought that civilian leaders were sometimes an impediment to getting things put into the proper world context. But, he was no fool and was a superb fighting man and an inspiration to his troops. One of a kind.

But then again, there never has been a President like Barack Obama or a corrupt Congress willing to pocket cash from lobbyists representing terrorists and other evildoers.

Mitt Romney Kicks Ass in First Debate

by Donald Douglas on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012

This is article 1021 of 1300 in the topic 2012 Elections

I thought my perspective was biased, that Romney just destroyed Obama in the debate. But the results are coming in, and it’s a bloodbath for the Democrats.

See BuzzFeed for the big headline, “How Mitt Romney Won The First Debate.” (At Memeorandum.) Also at Washington Free Beacon, “Liberal Media Calls It for Romney.”

I’ll be updating, but if you’re checking my blog as this post goes live, click your remote over to MSNBC. This is a devastating night for the left. It’s a collective meltdown over there. Ed Schultz just said that Mitt Romney was “in his wheelhouse on the economy.” And Chris Matthews was literally going ballistic. I’ll be looking for the video and will update.

Check back from more reporting and analysis.

8:10pm Pacific: At the Los Angeles Times, “In position to surprise, Romney has sharp answers in first debate.” And the Wall Street Journal, “Candidates Spar Over Taxes: Obama, Romney Lay Out Differing Views of Government, Regulation, Deficit Cuts.”

And The Other McCain, “MITT ROMNEY WINS FIRST DEBATE.”

8:16pm Pacific: Here’s some raw video from CNN. I’ll link the full clip as well, when I find it.

8:27pm Pacific: Glenn Reynolds has video from MSNBC, “CHRIS MATTHEWS IN POST-DEBATE MELTDOWN…

8:45pm Pacific: At CNN, “CNN Poll: Romney wins debate by big margin.”

Time for Romney to KAATN!

by John Lillpop on Saturday, August 4th, 2012

This is article 817 of 1300 in the topic 2012 Elections

Has he got the guts to stand up and fight against the likes of Harry Reid, the left-wing moron who claims that Romney has not paid taxes in 10 years, but whom has no substantiation for that smear?

Being polite, reserved, and decent are required attributes for those engaged in civil society, such as in the LDS church.

Unfortunately, those qualities simply will not work when dealing with Marxist imperialists who want to “Fundamentally Transform” the greatest society in human history!

Romney needs to take the gloves off and fight, fight, fight the evil empire currently in power in Washington.

In other words Governor, its time to KAATN—Kick Ass and Take Names!

That may be the only way to defeat the Obama demons.

KAATN—and do not look back!

Michele Bachmann: By Now, Michelle Obama Would Have Gotten an Apology From NBC

by Doug Powers on Thursday, November 24th, 2011

This is article 186 of 573 in the topic Media

Stump the band

Remember when Hillary Clinton was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and when she came out the band played Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”? Me neither, because it never happened and won’t ever happen. But the rules of what’s appropriate aren’t politically uniform in the world of “entertainment,” which is why Michele Bachmann is now wanting an apology from NBC:

Republican candidate Michele Bachmann addressed the controversy surrounding her appearance on ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ this week, saying if what happened to her had happened to the First Lady, heads would have rolled.

When Bachmann was introduced on the Fallon’s show Monday, Fallon’s house band, the Roots, played Fishbone’s song ‘Lyin’ Ass Bitch.’

Fallon has since apologized, and while Bachmann said she accepts the comedian’s apology, she thinks NBC should apologize as well.

“If that had been Michelle Obama, who’d come out on the stage, and if that song had been played for Michelle Obama, I have no doubt that NBC would have apologized to her and likely they would have fired the drummer, or at least suspended him,” she told Fox News.

If Fallon’s band had done that to Michelle Obama (as if), is there much doubt that Brian Roberts would have seen to public floggings of all offending parties and apologized by asking Comcast/NBC employees to double their DNC donations this election cycle?

Imagine the outrage if it was another guest. Below I took an ABC News story and replaced “Michele Bachmann” with the name of a different public figure:
*****

The drummer for the house band on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” apologized sort of for his decision to play ”Lyin’ Ass Bitch” when Rep. Nancy Pelosi appeared on the talk show Monday night.

“The performance was a tongue-in-cheek and spur of the moment decision. The show was not aware of it and I feel bad if her feelings were hurt. That was not my intention,” Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson said in a statement.

As Pelosi, congresswoman and former Speaker of the House, walked across the stage to sit next to Fallon Monday night, house band the Roots played a refrain from the song written by Fishbone.

Though the lyrics refer to a woman as a “slut trash can bitch,” the band sang the “la, la, la” of the refrain.
*****

Fallon’s house band would be lucky to be able to get a gig leading an OWS drum circle by now if it had happened that way.

Possible topic for discussion: Are GOP politicians chumps for going on these shows and subjecting themselves to mockery — be it overt or relatively subliminal — from an industry that is overwhelmingly liberal, or is it a necessary way to reach voters these days and they just need to have a thick skin, a thorough knowledge of contemporary “music” and a healthy repertoire of comeback lines at the ready?

Roger Waters Supports OWS Fight Against ‘Upper 1%’ Greed (See Him Perform Live for $115 – $1,020)

by Doug Powers on Monday, November 7th, 2011

This is article 81 of 194 in the topic Marches/Protests/Riots

Yet another musician who supports the fight against corporate greed and the screwing of the middle and lower classes who will nevertheless lobby for your ass to be thrown in jail if you’re caught downloading their music without paying them for it through pre-approved corporate channels.

Roger Waters, founding member of Pink Floyd, falls well within the “upper 1%” but doesn’t seem to want to either understand, remember or care why:

You can go see Waters, the man who supports the fight against the greed of the upper 1%, perform live early next year in San Francisco. The cheapest ticket is $115 and go as high as $1,020. Even better: The concert is at AT&T Park.

Much of Pink Floyd’s work was sold courtesy of the tiny non-profit company called Capitol/EMI. I know because I own a lot of it, but inevitably most entertainers always find a way to make me regret ever giving them a penny.

The not-so-subtle technique of rich hypocrite OWS supporters — whether it’s employed by Warren Buffet, Kanye West or Roger Waters — is that they claim to want to help the “lower 99%.” There are two ways they could do that. 1) They could “help” us by begging the government to raise their taxes, which may or may not happen and probably wouldn’t help anybody anyway because the government will simply waste the extra money anyway. Or 2), they could offer immediate relief to the pocketbook of the downtrodden by lowering the price of their products or services, in essence taxing themselves at the front end by refusing to profit at the point of sale. Guess which option they choose each and every time?

Meghan McCain Like, Totally Endorses Mitt Romney Cuz He’s Like, Moderate & Stuff — I’m Serious You Guys!

by Doug Powers on Thursday, August 4th, 2011

This is article 208 of 1300 in the topic 2012 Elections

The announcement the nation was waiting for has been made. But enough about the debt ceiling agreement — in other news, Meghan McCain has endorsed Mitt Romney:

On Monday, Meghan McCain told Kennesaw State University that she wants Mitt Romney, not Sarah Palin, to be the next president.

As McCain explained, “My personal favorite right now is Mitt Romney. I like that he’s not so radical. I like that he has really, really played his cards right, almost perfectly since the last election” (as reported by Marietta Daily Journal).

McCain’s endorsement may be a double-edged sword for Romney. On the one hand, her endorsement is a boon because she chose him over her own father’s running mate. And McCain enjoys a devoted following among independents, moderate Republicans and young voters, which could help him with crucial swing voters.

McCain represents younger Republicans who don’t like their Republicans to be all Republicanny & stuff, or something like that.

Every time Meghan McCain said what she was looking for in a Republican candidate for 2012, she described somebody just like her father, and he got his ass kicked against Obama. I’m sure a political clone of John McCain would fare much better this time around.

As for me, I’m still endorsing this “generic” Republican, because he/she seems to have the best chance of defeating Obama.

Ass Extinction

by Larry Wilke on Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

This is article 5 of 13 in the topic Doomsday Theories

Well, you may be surprised to read this but they are at it again.. Some of the vaunted liberal “scientists” are making their usual predictions based upon nothingness.. The progressive pattern reveals the same hysteria-driven drivel that is only taken “seriously” at San Francisco socialist soirees and within the walls of Congress.. By the way, those are the only ones who are listening and when the first group begins puling to the second group, all of our wallets become a little lighter..

If it isn’t another “Ice Age”, it is “Globaloney Warming”. If it isn’t the “Population Explosion” it is the “World-Wide Famine”.. The estrogen levels of the liberals has to be about as high as their IQ’s, this is why they always resort to such sophistry which is based upon the same type of sound “science” that all of their other previous predictions have been scrupulously scripted from..

Yahoo news reports (hopefully tongue in cheek) that “Mankind may have unleashed the sixth known mass extinction in Earth’s history..” We can’t necessarily blame Yahoo for this as this frightening scenario has come from “the science journal Nature..” When dealing with the liberals and their histrionics, there should be some panel assembled to verify and justify their use of the term “science”. Like every other word that drips from the mealy mouth of a liberal, the word is cheapened by their use, overuse and abuse of it..

The indoctrination for the uninitiated begins early on in the article. “Over the past 540 million years, five mega-wipeouts of species have occurred through naturally-induced events..” Please note the use of the liberal “scientific” term, “mega-wipeouts”.. The important point to remember here is that these have “occurred through naturally-induced events..” Who can see the direction that this is going, “left” maybe?

“But the new threat is man-made, inflicted by habitation loss, over-hunting, over-fishing, the spread of germs and viruses and introduced species and by climate change caused by fossil-fuel greenhouse gases, says the study..” Shall we delve into this?

OF COURSE this is “man-made”, how else can all of the liberal parallel phantasms be brought into play? “Habitation loss” needs more environmental protection, “over-hunting” and “over-fishing” needs the attention of the animal rights lunatics. The liberals themselves are personally responsible for a number of “germs and viruses” that have certainly plagued mankind since the sixties, but since mankind is the “victim” and not the “blind albino crotch tick”, no harm no foul.. According to the “scientists”, “climate change” (Globaloney Warming 2.0..) caused by greenhouse gases HAS to be the real “threat”.. The liberal’s biggest push, with all of its “green jobs” and its “enviro-friendly” fuels, is directly related to the “big scare” surrounding “greenhouse gases”..

“Paleobiologists at the University of Berkeley looked at the state of biodiversity..” Hold it right there, bub.. “Biodiversity” is a liberal scam founded in the liberal scam of “diversity”. Using the liberal “definitional inversion” chart, “diversity”, regardless of where it is incorporated by the liberals, is actually “exclusion” based upon a number of theories. (Example: the “diversity” of quotas is the “exclusion” of the more qualified.) It is nothing more than their fascism fomented by fiction.

Survival Traits

by Bob Livingston on Monday, November 29th, 2010

This is article 2 of 10 in the topic Survival

Survival Traits

Do you have the personality to stay alive in times of crisis? Believe it or not, psychologists have studied the personalities of those who have survived life-threatening events to see what set them apart. It turns out they all had common traits.

In her book The Unthinkable, Amanda Ripley writes that people go through three basic steps when confronted with a life-or-death scenario: denial, deliberation and decision. During the denial stage, it is not unusual for people to continue performing mundane tasks while chaos reigns around them. The brain is processing information, delaying its decision-making process and assessing the risk.

In the deliberation phase, the mind begins to put together possible courses of action. It’s not unusual, Ripley writes, for people to describe this period as having time almost stand still. They remember in great detail the words or images that would not normally be significant.

It’s this stage, and the decision stage that follows, that usually determines whether the outcome will be a good one.

In his book, 98.6 Degrees, The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive!, Cody Lundin writes that survivors all have common personality traits which take over in the decision stage:

  • The ability to keep calm and collected. This is the ability to prevent fear and panic from taking over your world, as both possess the power to incapacitate the body and mind. Prior training can help you deal more effectively with “this ugly pair.” Sometimes you have stop and regroup to allow clarity to surface.
  • The ability to improvise and adapt. This allows you to improvise and make use of every opportunity. For instance, it allows you to pack survival gear with more than one function or gear that allows for creating other gear. It can also be thought of as the ability to understand what all can be accomplished with limited resources.
  • The ability to make decisions. Rather than getting lost during the decision-making process — or having  your brain freeze, forcing you into inaction — this ability allows you to thoroughly yet quickly formulate a game plan then follow through with it. Lundin recommends you be decisive and take responsibility for your decisions.
  • The ability to endure hardships. A survival situation is not comfortable. It will tax you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Your ability to endure hardship will be tested. The two greatest enemies to survival are a desire for comfort and complacency. Desiring temporary comfort can spur you into making decisions that are irrational, and this impulse must be overcome.
  • The ability to figure out the thoughts of others. How can intuition work to your advantage? Put yourself in the shoes of your rescuers. Which direction will they come from? Where might they look first? What will they expect you to do? These are crucial questions to consider if you’re expecting rescue. As for those in your group who are looking to you for leadership, be mindful of their condition. Are they experiencing panic, in danger of hypothermia or dehydration or exhibiting an inability to cope?

Planning For The Worst

by Bob Livingston on Monday, November 15th, 2010

This is article 1 of 10 in the topic Survival

Planning For The Worst

If you’re going on a vacation, you plan your trip. Especially if a family is involved, hours are spent determining where to go, what to do, how to get there, how much you can spend and what to do with the mail and the pets while you’re gone. If you’re getting married, you not only spend countless hours planning every detail of the ceremony, but you’ll often hire a wedding planner to help with that planning.

Planning for daily lives can involve a desk calendar, smartphone with calendar apps and email notifications of important events, daily Internet reading of planning blogs and attending periodic planning seminars.

But for some reason, the thought of being in the wild (or a wild situation), either by choice or necessity, doesn’t always trigger such planning efforts. That’s a confusing conundrum, because outdoors, away from constant electronic support and contact and with your own life and possibly the lives of others at risk, the lack of planning can be catastrophic.

Cody Lundin, survivalist and co-star of Discovery Channel’s Dual Survival, listed five steps of planning for outdoor excursions in his book, 98.6 Degrees: The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive! In a chapter that deals with the “Seven Ps” of the military saying, “Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance,” Lundin stresses the need for Physical Preparation, Mental and Emotional Preparation, Materials Preparation, Dangerous Scenario Preparation and Spiritual Preparation.

  1. Physical Preparation: Outdoor activities are synonymous with physical stress and unique sanitary conditions. Maintaining a proper level of physical fitness, health and hygiene is strongly recommended.

This is one of those truths you encounter in life that is so obvious, you forget about it. It’s clear that if getting up from the easy chair for a refrigerator run tires you out, there’s no hope in a situation that requires extreme or prolonged physical exertion. It’s just so much easier to tune to another channel and put off conditioning until another day. Peter Drucker, also known as “The Man Who Invented Management,” said, “Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes, but no plans.”  Make a commitment to get in shape and stay in shape.

  1. Mental and Emotional Preparation: Self-confidence is the key and is the result of proper prior planning, skills practice, personal belief systems and your overall backcountry experience.

Drucker also said, “Plans are only good intentions unless they immediately generate into hard work.” Pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone during training results in a mental and emotional attitude that will recognize a dangerous situation and act accordingly. Your attitude changes from that of panic to that of, “I can handle this.”

  1. Materials Preparation: Pack the right equipment for the job (maintained and in proper working order) and know how to use it.
