The Utopia of Socialism – The Failed Utopia of Socialism in the USSR, Zina Brodovsky

Zina is so passionate about her story that we had to break it down into three chapters, each less than 15 minutes. She tells her touching and moving history of life under the Soviet socialism and communism in the former USSR. Zina sees the correlation between her former country and what is happening today in the United States, and has become very active in her community educating and sharing her story to prevent socialism/communism from taking over in America. Zina is also a naturalized American citizen and cherishes the freedoms we all take for granted.

The Utopia of Socialism – Life Under Two Socialist Regimes, Daniel Paul

In our second interview, Daniel Paul describes his life under not one, but two forms of socialism: the National Socialism of the Nazi party and the Soviet Communist socialism. Daniel is originally from the Polish Ukraine and immigrated to the United States. He has since become a naturalized citizen and is an active member of his local tea party organization.

The Utopia of Socialism

The Perfect Society

Imagine a society where everyone owns a home and car, has enough food and clothing for all members of the family, gets a free education from K-college and free healthcare. A world where everyone can pursue their dreams and everyone is treated equal.

That is the utopia the liberals are trying to sell the American public. A utopia that cannot be delivered. A utopia of lies. Socialism always fails.

Our history books fail to include an important part of our country’s beginnings. When the Pilgrims first came to America they believed in this utopia and decided to live in a communal society. Everyone would work for the collective and everyone would receive according to their needs. Food became scarce and many died in the first year. With a failed state and a dying population they realized a need for change and implemented a free market system where families could make what they wanted and trade or sell for items they needed or wanted. Women and children who had not previously worked in the fields alongside the men suddenly took to the fields to help the family. There was food, shelter and clothing. The rest, as they say, is history.

In the 1960’s the hippies instituted another communal experiment. Living the life of free love, they lived in these communes to provide for the needs of the group. These communes have long gone by the wayside, but the ideals of this generation still lives on, only now their ideals live in the politicians of Washington DC.

In my involvement with the Tea Party, I have met some naturalized citizens who immigrated to the United States legally. They are some of the most concerned citizens you will meet because they have lived the life the liberals are pushing for in Washington DC, they see what is happening in this country today, and they are fearful of what is coming to us if we don’t change direction. Their messages were so moving that we asked them to share their experiences and knowledge. José shares his message as an immigrant from Cuba, Zina from the Ukraine, USSR and Dan from the Polish Ukraine and Nazi Germany. Their stories reveal what happens to a country that is transformed by the communists.

What I found particularly moving was during the interview and reliving this past, each one of them reached a point where the memories brought forth such emotion that each of them broke down. Think back to your childhood. Is there anything in your memory that could stir such emotion? One can only imagine the emotional impact on them to revive such a response so many decades later.

We need to heed their warning, or one day the country we wake up in will be something we no longer recognize. Will we become another failed state of the socialist utopia?

Americans who believe socialism is the answer to our problems need to listen to these videos. If you cherish your freedoms it’s time to WAKE UP AMERICA! As Ronald Reagan said,

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.

Student privacy at risk from feds

It’s the stimulus that just keeps on giving! Passed in the 2009 stimulus in a world of “we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it”, the feds have taken one step further in the invasion of privacy of our children. Shared by freshman Rep. Ben Quayle (AZ), the question is what, if anything, is the new House going to do about it?

Would it bother you to know that the federal Centers for Disease Control had been shown your daughter’s health records to see how she responded to an STD/teen-pregnancy-prevention program? How about if the federal Department of Education and Department of Labor scrutinized your son’s academic performance to see if he should be “encouraged” to leave high school early to learn a trade? Would you think the government was intruding on your territory as a parent?

Under regulations the Obama Department of Education released this month, these scenarios could become reality. The department has taken a giant step toward creating a de facto national student database that will track students by their personal information from preschool through career. Although current federal law prohibits this, the department decided to ignore Congress and, in effect, rewrite the law. Student privacy and parental authority will suffer.

Obama knew about “Fast and Furious”

To date Barack Obama, the dispenser of hope and change and the presiding officer over the least transparent presidency in history, has claimed he only learned about Fast and Furious earlier this year. However, with each new document dump Obama’s timeframe seems to be as inaccurate (or as purposely misleading) as Attorney General Eric Holder’s.

For example, just months after he took office it was evident he was focused on a Fast and Furious-like operation, ostensibly aimed at cutting down on gun trafficking on the southern border.  Thus, on March 24, 2009, Deputy Attorney General David Ogden made the following announcement:

The President has directed us to take action to fight [Mexican] cartels…and Attorney General Holder and I are taking several new and aggressive steps as part of the administration’s comprehensive plan.

And the following month, April 2009, he stood beside Mexican President Felipe Calderón and uttered words we now recognize as hypocritical and duplicitous at best:

I continue to believe that we can respect and honor the Second Amendment right in our Constitution — the rights of sportsmen and hunters and homeowners that want to keep their families safe — to lawfully bear arms, while dealing with assault weapons that, as we know here in Mexico, are used to fuel violence.

Fast forward one year, and White House logs show that then-Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler met personally with Obama four times between May 7 and May 19, 2010.

Just in case Grindler’s name doesn’t set off sirens in your mind, he had received an in depth briefing on Fast and Furious on March 12, 2010. (This briefing came via an ATF slideshow which I covered in a post for Big Government earlier this year.) During this same briefing, Grindler was provided with details concerning the number of times that a straw purchaser named Uriel Patino had purchased guns during Fast and Furious. (Patino’s total weapon acquisition numbered approx. 720 guns.)

By the way, Grindler is no longer a Deputy Attorney General. Rather, he is Holder’s Chief of Staff.

So what do you figure he and Obama talked about when they met four times in May 2010?

Perhaps a better question is—do you think there’s any way they didn’t talk about Fast and Furious?

Even the LA Times admits Fast and Furious was at its height then, so I really don’t think Obama and Grindler used their meetings to plan Obama’s next vacation. Rather, I think Obama may have known about Fast and Furious nearly a year before he admits.

Looks like it’s time for Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) to broaden his inquiry into this mess.

Two Worlds, One Goal

Two people working on opposite sides of the world fighting the same cause appeared for the first time on stage together in Arizona. Trevor Loudon of New Zealand and David Noebel of Arizona gave an eye opening presentation on communism and the real threat it poses to the United States.

David Noebel, who recently re-released the book “You Can Still Trust the Communists…to Be Communists” originally written by Fred Schwarz, spoke of his work with the Summit Ministries in Colorado, focusing on the youth of America. David was involved with Schwarz in the fight against communism until Schwarz’s death, just before the rise of the Tea Party and said Schwarz would have been an avid supporter. Noebel has since moved to Arizona and in a gracious gesture relinquished much of his speaking time to Loudon. David offered to return to the Phoenix area to speak on the communistic movement in America.

The man behind the chalkboard, Trevor Loudon’s research was instrumental in exposing the communist ties of Obama, both past and present. If you have not seen Glenn Beck’s presentations on the Obama communist connections then you might want to read Loudon’s new book “Barack Obama and the Enemies Within.” Trevor briefly outlined these individuals within the Obama administration and the tentacles run deep.

If you are reading this you are probably one of the many awakened Americans who knew something wasn’t right with our country and decided to get involved. What struck me the most during Trevor’s talk was the extent that the rest of the world has been watching. We all realize to some degree America’s influence in the world, but in the MSM we generally hear of the wars or conflicts in the Middle East. Trevor said the only reason his country is free is because of the United States, first in helping them become a free country during the war, and then keeping them a free country because of our military presence in the South Pacific. They understand “as goes the United States goes the rest of the free world.” If the U.S. turns to communism, China, his neighbor, is just waiting to pounce. The events since Obama took office looked grim, not only in the US, but around the world.

Just as the Marxists in the U.S. were not expecting the rise of a citizen’s movement now known as the Tea Party, New Zealand had also not anticipated the phenomenon. As they watched from afar they began to realize we were fighting back! So as we have been fighting against the communist movement in America, those around the world have a renewed sense of hope. Hope that we can remain the “shining light on the hill” giving hope to the free countries of the world that they too might remain free. You could feel the love for freedom Trevor has when he spoke and his confidence in us provided many with a renewed sense of commitment and the knowledge that the impact of our success is far more reaching than we could have imagined.

At the end of the evening a surprise guest joined Noebel and Loudon on stage; Gabriela Saucedo Mercer of Tucson. Gabriela is running for the House seat currently occupied by Raul Grijalva. Gabriela is a naturalized U.S. citizen from Mexico.

The Difference Between a Cain and a Newt – Does Experience Matter?

Arizona had the privilege of welcoming 3 of the GOP presidential candidates: Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich.

One has to wonder if Michele Bachmann is serious in her run for president. Rumor was that she was going to be in Arizona on Monday, Oct 17th and many people probably were unaware she was actually here. In a press conference by invitation only she spoke just to the media. No contact with the real people, just a fly by visit. If this is her grassroots campaign she might as well hang it up today. You cannot influence voters if you never meet them!

Also on Monday the state welcomed Herman Cain. Cain made the rounds in the Phoenix area with a visit to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a lunch fundraiser and topped the night off with a VIP and dinner event for the GOP. What started as a small dinner event of several hundred expanded twice to a final total of 1200.

Cain’s enthusiasm and love for this country was apparent in his presentation to those at the dinner. Mixing humor with facts, Cain explained is 9-9-9 tax plan and his vision for America and restoring the American dream. He portrays a positive “we can do it” attitude in returning the greatness back to this country, growing the economy, putting people back to work, becoming energy independent, securing our border and nation and reaffirming our commitment to our foreign allies. He constantly drew cheers from the crowd and standing ovations in support of his ideals. Several at my table became Cain supporters.

On Wednesday evening Newt Gingrich held a town hall meeting. Attendance was larger than anticipated as the group of about 300 gathered in a hotel meeting room. If you arrived early you got a seat, otherwise you were left standing. Even worse was when the media arrived they stood on risers in front of all those standing behind the chairs blocking the view from most attendees. It didn’t speak well of the media who manage to take up as much space as possible.

Newt presented his campaign speech with the usual highlights of economic issues, repealing Dodd-Frank and many of the talking points we have all heard during the debates. Then came the questions from the audience. A number of questions were from our younger members and their concern with education, especially college, and jobs. One asked about the “baggage” he carries with him because of his personal history.

The surprise of the evening came when someone asked about our border issues and brought up the fact that there is a large part of Arizona that citizens are not supposed to enter because it is too dangerous…and Newt was unaware of this issue! The signs posted by Homeland Security had been on the news, posted on the internet, and yet he had no idea. He questioned if the state put up the signs and of course was told they were erected by our own Homeland Security. Still being skeptical of the information he wanted photos and locations where these signs have been placed.
