Very intelligent people buy into lies and myths the same as the general population.

The elites are masters of propaganda. They have at their beck and call an army of “journalists” who never stray from the official state line for fear of being ostracized. They eagerly and happily spread lies and half-truths in order to gain and then keep their seats near the halls of power. Those who stray from the party line (Helen Thomas) are harshly dealt with.

They have learned that the more lies they tell, the more lies we believe. And the more lies we believe, the more dependent we become. Conversely, the fewer myths, lies and deceptions we succumb to, the less dependent — and, therefore, the freer — we are.

Propaganda is the science of persuasion and mind control. Its purpose is to forge allegiance to a political order or to ensure acceptance — and, therefore, consumption — of a particular product whether it is needed or beneficial. Propaganda victimizes the public by changing and controlling its belief system to the benefit of the political establishment or for the monetary gain of corporate interests and the medical establishment.

I have learned the power of propaganda. I have watched as otherwise intelligent and thoughtful people have had their minds manipulated so that they acted against their own best interests as a result of propaganda. It seems that organized and sophisticated propaganda is able to operate above the threshold of intelligence. In other words, without some imperative to trigger inquiry, very intelligent people buy into lies and myths the same as the general population. The lies and myths then become conventional wisdom. The human mind rarely accepts a challenge to conventional wisdom.

When confronted with a challenge to the established belief system, the mind closes off. When this happens, the individual employs avoidance behavior, writes off the new knowledge as conspiracy theory and labels it as kooky, insane or stupid. The information is then dismissed, never to be considered again, even when the facts support the new knowledge.

The esoteric purpose of propaganda is to extract wealth and labor illegally as concealed involuntary servitude. The people who use propaganda to persuade the populace against their best interests create myths and sell them as benefits.

Here, I break down some of the lies.

Lie: The War on Terror. The so-called War on Terror is actually a war on the American people. If al-Qaida is our enemy, as we’re told, why did we provide it aid and cover in Libya and why are we providing it aid in Syria? If its mastermind Osama bin Laden — who was never charged in connection to 9/11 — is dead, why are we constantly hearing new rumors of supposed terror plots? The FBI is supposedly keeping us safe from terrorists, yet it is setting up patsies, planning and giving them the means to carry out terror attacks so that it can swoop in and save the day. All of the recently uncovered “terrorist plots” in America are FBI creations. The original underwear bomber was under CIA surveillance and assisted onto the plane by a CIA asset.

The U.S. Department of Justice on Thursday announced the intent of Attorney General Eric Holder and Assistant Attorney General for the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, Thomas Perez to file a civil suit against Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio for alleged racial profiling, according to the DOJ press office.

Holder had previously requested that Arpaio  cooperate in the implementation of a court monitor inside Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office who would have the authority to clear the activities of the patrol officers and the sheriff’s deputies assigned to the county jail and detention facilities.

Arpaio categorically denies all of the profiling allegations and said he will never allow the Obama Administration to “call the shots in his department.”

DOJ officials stated that Arpaio’s refusal to agree to a court monitor ended those negotiations.

“I do not tolerate racist attitudes or behaviors. We at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office do not foster a ‘culture of cruelty,’” Arpaio stated.

Many of Arpaio’s colleagues nationwide claim that this latest action by Holder and the DOJ is political in nature and an abuse of power by a supposedly federal law enforcement official.

“Ever since Eric Holder first became Attorney General, after hiding information about his own background during confirmation, he’s been harassing Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Now Holder is using the DOJ to attack someone he sees as a political threat to President Barack Obama,” said former New York police lieutenant Thomas Bruno.

Bruno referred to the “Cold Case Posse” investigating Obama’s birth records, Selective Service identification, and other records as “a likely motive for the DOJ lawsuit.” Sheriff Arpaio recently stated that he plans to hold a news conference to reveal more information about his investigation into Obama’s eligibility to serve as President and Commander in Chief.

In addition, Arpaio claims he’s been denied access to the evidence that the DOJ prosecutors possess that they say proves he violated the civil rights of illegal aliens.

The DOJ’s notice of intent to sue was sent on Thursday by Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez, the director of the civil rights division. According to several sources, Perez has a background in championing left-wing causes including advocating for illegal aliens.

“Today, the Department of Justice did something it has done only once before in the 18-year history of our civil police reform work; we filed a contested lawsuit to stop discriminatory and unconstitutional law enforcement practices,” said Perez.

Just as the DOJ was notifying Arpaio of its intent to sue, the sheriff released a new report documenting how his office has handled the issues raised by the DOJ.

“These concerns are fueled by an unfortunate use of language that compounds rather than describes the problem. Terms like ‘culture of cruelty’ and ‘racist’ are tossed about in headlines and sound bites, while information to support these claims is not offered or communicated through the mainstream media,” Arpaio stated.

“This Justice Department is out of control,” said former police sergeant and intelligence officer Donald McRae. “Basically, they are the Obama Administration’s goon squad and believe in selective prosecution based on politics.”

Arpaio is no stranger to federal law enforcement having served as a federal police official with agencies such as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), therefore he’s no stranger to Beltway political culture, McRae noted.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Arpaio says has established probable cause in his ongoing investigation that Barack Obama’s published birth certificate and Selective Service registration forms are forgeries.

I can’t help wondering if outspoken progressive liberals like the extremely wealthy Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and Diane Feinstein are using their liberal credentials to mask the fact that they may be profiting from inside information? Using the protections of political office to violate the Securities and Exchange Commission laws which would send an ordinary citizen to jail for trading on insider information.

My suspicions are reinforced by a number of recent articles such as this one from the Washington Free Beacon’s Andrew Styles …

What better way to insulate yourself from the combined outrage of the American people than to pretend that you are a champion of the downtrodden and support massive entitlement spending? Building a big cheering section and voting block which keeps you in office so you can plunder the people’s treasury.

The unholy Congressional Cabal …

With all of the investigations in Congress, why is Maxine Waters’ investigation in the Ethics Committee stalled for years? How does Charlie Rangel walk away from tax evasion charges and remain acceptable enough to be reelected? Why else would people spend millions of dollars to secure an elective office that pays a few hundred thousand dollars? Power and the ability to profit from the office seems to be the inescapable conclusion.

Bottom line …

Never before in the history of the United States have we faced such a confluence of corrupt politicians and special interests willing to subvert the politicial system for their personal gain.

Never before have we allowed Marxists and Communists to openly cavort in the White House, Congress and the Supreme Court.

Never below have we sat idly by and watched massively corrupt and incompetent politicians remain in office without investigation into their underhanded schemes.

2012 is approaching and you, and you alone, will decide whether or not we will allow the corruption of our nation to occur. One one hand, we have the progressives/Marxists/Communists/Democrats who appear to be delighting in the death of capitalism as they steal with both hands. And on the other hand, we have the Republicans who want to return to the political dung heap to insure that they and their supporters are getting their fair share of the spoils.

Both political parties are riddled with ideologues, incompetents and corruption.

And it is your duty to sort it all out this coming November.

Unfortunately, we are once again provided with a Hobson’s choice of two equally distasteful options. A liberal republican who, at least, likes promote American values and another liberal who likes to denigrate America while he plans for the destruction of capitalism.

Not to mention the local, state and federal representatives who are not as well known, but are equally as corrupt and incompetent.

Lieberman indicates that the Secret Service agents “were acting like a bunch of college students away on spring weekend.” And toward the end of the clip, “the buck stops at the president’s desk … he’s the leader of our government and he now has to be acting with a kind of a relentless determination to find out exactly what happened.”

Right, just like with the Fast and Furious scandal.

As the 2012 presidential election quickly approaches, more and more Americans are discovering that the Obama Administration’s definition of transparency is more Clintonian and semantic than honest and encouraging especially his Attorney General, Eric Holder, according to a political strategist and attorney.

On Tuesday, Michigan’s Rep. Justin Amash, a Republican, added his name to the growing list of lawmakers demanding Attorney General Eric Holder resign over such ”outrages as the handling of the Black Panther voter intimidation case, the attacks against Arizona and Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and Operation Fast & Furious that’s responsible for many deaths including that of a U.S. Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry.”

However, it’s doubtful the outcome of this discovery will do anything to change the minds of Barack Obama’s sycophants in the news media, said Michael Baker of Baker, Lynch and Associates, a political and security consulting firm.

Baker believes that besides the Fast & Furious scandal, what should have been a big embarrassment for the Obama White House was the discovery that Attorney General Eric Holder had been less than forthcoming about his activities prior to being appointed U.S. Attorney General.

Justice Department officials have admitted that when members of the U.S. Senate — including Judiciary Committee members – were considering the nomination of Eric Holder as President Obama’s attorney general last year, he failed to disclose all of the legal briefs he had written or signed from his time in private practice especially those briefs that are pertinent to his current positions and views during the so-called war on terrorism.

“Holder has now decided to be open and transparent with the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding his  memory lapse to turn over copies of his legal filings, including Amicus briefs on behalf of detained terrorists and enemy combatants,” Michael Baker told the Law Enforcement Examiner.

“Holder also used the oldest trick in the book: he made his official statement on a Friday afternoon during the usual lull in the news cycle,” Baker said.

“As part of Holder’s confirmation process, a list of legal briefs to the committee was turned over to senate staffers,” he said. And the list turned over to the Senate Judiciary Committee did not include filings in about seven cases.

The issue of Holder’s past legal papers came up after some Republicans asked why lawyers who had previously done legal work for terror detainees now had jobs in the Justice Department, something President Barack Obama successfully avoided discussing, and something conveniently overlooked by a Justice Department now saturated with Holder colleagues whose work records show they defended terrorism suspects and ‘Gitmo’ detainees, according to former intelligence officer Michael Snopes.

“Attorney General Eric Holder didn’t tell the Senate Judiciary Committee about at least six Supreme Court amicus briefs he prepared or supported, his office acknowledged in a letter Friday, including two urging the Court to reject the Bush administration’s attempt to try Jose Padilla as an enemy combatant,” Snopes stated.

“It has come to our attention that some but not all briefs submitted to the Supreme Court by or on behalf of Attorney General Holder as counselor Amicus were supplied to the Committee in the course of his confirmation process last year. We regret the omission,” Assistant Attorney General Ronald Welch wrote to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy.

Keying off all the latest “Party in the GSA” stories, a couple of outraged citizens protested outside the Senate today — including a woman dressed like one of the Vegas mind-readers and one of the clowns hired to entertain the profligate bureaucrats.

Speaking of clowns, in case you missed it: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pushed to allow government conferences in Vegas and personally lobbied Rahm Emanuel on the issue.

The General Services Administration’s internal watchdog said Wednesday that employees are heeding his call to report wrongdoing, and messages on his hotline have triggered new investigations beyond an $823,000 Las Vegas conference and junkets to resorts.

“I don’t know what we’re going to find but it has not been pretty,” Inspector General Brian Miller told the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

It’s the Senate’s turn to take a whack. But Sen. Barbara Boxer goes soft…

The Wednesday morning hearing was less dramatic than the House events, perhaps reflecting that the Senate and the White House are controlled by people of the same political party — Democrats. Republicans in the House used the scandal to score political points.

That could be inferred from the titles of the hearings, which had a more accusatory tone in the House, such as “Addressing GSA’s Culture of Wasteful Spending” and “GSA’s Squandering of Taxpayer Dollars: A Pattern of Mismanagement, Excess and Waste.”

“We’re not looking for photo ops of people taking the Fifth,” Boxer said. She was referring to a House hearing on Monday where senior GSA official Jeffrey Neeley, who could possibly face criminal charges, refused to testify.

Yet members from both parties have pressed former and current GSA officials with questions that indicate that no matter what the political affiliation, Congress is concerned about a squandering of taxpayer dollars.

“There must be justice and restitution for this,” Boxer said, “and those who are responsible for the outrageous conduct and who violated the public trust must be held accountable.

Stop the presses: Big-spending Democrats are finally up in arms over a federal boondoggle. Details of the U.S. General Services Administration bacchanalia get worse by the day. We’ve graduated from overpriced breakfasts in Vegas, friends-and-family junkets galore and in-house videos mocking their own profligacy to extravagant bonuses, alleged kickbacks, obstructionism and bribes — along with stolen iPods and hot tub pics.)

But the scandal is still small potatoes compared to the potential billions GSA is pouring down the Big Labor drain.

Whistleblowers and an independent inspector general investigation estimate that the GSA’s Sin City conference cost taxpayers an estimated $1 million in 2010. Washington bureaucrats squandered another $234,000 on public relations damage control. An interim GSA director announced Tuesday on Capitol Hill that 35 upcoming conferences would be canceled at a cost savings of less than $1 million. Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland vowed that GSA officials would be “made to pay back” taxpayers.

The arrogance of these civil servants is, of course, jaw-dropping. Regional Commissioner Jeff Neely, the Paris Hilton of GSA party animals, wrote in an invitation to personal friends: “We’ll get you guys a room near us, and we’ll pick up the room tab. … I know I’m bad, but as Deb and I often say, why not enjoy it while we have it and while we can. Ain’t gonna last forever.”

Neely’s gone, along with seven other top administrators, and the GSA travel budget has dried up for now. But this is just a sliver of the permanently enshrined waste that constitutes the bread-and-butter business of the behemoth agency, which runs on a $45 billion annual budget — including $5.5 billion in federal stimulus money to oversee capital building projects.

Thanks to President Obama (whose White House reflexively tried to blame Party in the GSA-gate on the Bush administration), the federal government is steering that money toward Big Labor patrons with a proven track record of cost overruns, construction delays and corruption.

As I’ve reported previously, the linchpin is E.O. 13502, a union-friendly executive order signed by Obama in his first weeks in office. It essentially forces contractors who bid on large-scale public construction projects worth $25 million or more to submit to union representation for its employees. The blunt instrument used to give unions a leg up is the “project labor agreement,” which in theory sets reasonable pre-work terms and conditions. But in practice, it requires contractors to hand over exclusive bargaining control, to pay inflated, above-market wages and benefits, and to fork over dues money and pension funding to corrupt, cash-starved labor organizations.

These anti-competitive agreements undermine a fair bidding process on projects that locked-out, nonunion laborers are funding with their own tax dollars. And these PLAs benefit the privileged few at the expense of the vast majority: In the construction industry, 85 percent of the workforce is nonunion by choice.

Socialism is a debilitating confidence game dressed up as an ideology used by demagogues and want-to-be dictators to fool its victims into believing it is possible to have your cake and eat it too. Those who fall under the spell of the charlatans singing this siren song actually come to believe it is fair and just to force some people to labor for the good of others. This is the same type of sophistry and rationalization that was used by the clergy and philosophers of the Antebellum South to justify unending human bondage for an entire race of people because it was for their own good.

This twisted tool of central planners and bureaucratic tyrants teaches those who have not that it is fair and just to take from those who have and re-distribute the plunder as the government decrees. This is not fair! This is not just! To teach that it is raises up generations of people who believe they have a birth-right to that which is not their own forfeiting their true birth-right: the opportunity to succeed through their own efforts. The products of such an educational system are citizens without virtue voting pawns without honor. Not because they have made a personal decision to live without these two attributes but because they have been programmed to believe taking the fruit of someone else’s labor is permissible as long as it will be given to someone else. Theodore Roosevelt said, “To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.”

Those who drank the Kool-Aid dispensed by the government schools learned that this type of theft is not only permissible it is laudable. They were told and they believe that this is what Robin Hood did: steal from the rich to give to the poor. However, in reality the legend of Robin Hood tells of a fighter for liberty and the sanctity of personal property who robbed the stolen wealth of corrupt government officials so that he could return it to its rightful owners: those who produced the wealth in the first place. However, the leaders of America today have turned the world upside down demanding that people objectified by the name “Millionaires and Billionaires” need to pay their fair share. Yet they never say what that fair share is or when enough will ever be enough. According to Noah Webster, “…if the citizens neglect their Duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the Laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizen will be violated or disregarded.”

We look around us and we watch as our beloved United States of America crumbles. Our elected leaders act as if it is their goal to spend us into oblivion. The only way to understand the pronouncements and actions of this administration is if we consider ourselves a conquered people and the Washington-centered oligarchy as an occupying power.
