New Black Panthers call for race war — again

by Michelle Malkin on Monday, April 9th, 2012

This is article 9 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

The ever-vigilant crew at Breitbart.com brings us audio of the New Black Panther Party’s planning call for today’s supposed “Day of Action” (or rather, inaction).

Listen as the organizers call on their troops to get “suited, booted, and armed up for this race war that we’re in that has never ended” against “honkies, these crackers, these pigs, these people, these motherf**krs…”

Same old, same old for those of you have followed all my past work on the NBPP.

Some handy flashbacks for you:

Two months after the 9/11 attacks, I reported on Muslim NBPP head Malik Shabazz’s disgusting anti-Semitic, anti-American diatribe at the National Press Club.

He has a long history of Jew-bashing, including gems like this:

“If 3,000 people perished in the World Trade Center attacks and the Jewish population is 10 percent, you show me records of 300 Jewish people dying in the World Trade Center…We’re daring anyone to dispute its truth. They got their people out.”

In 2006, we at Hot Air covered Shabazz’s jihad-pandering protest and call to arms at the Danish embassy in Washington, D.C. over the Mohammed Cartoons.

In 2007, Shabazz called me a “whore” on Fox News because I called out his racial hucksterism in the Duke lacrosse fake rape case.

In 2008, I reported on Shabazz’s election day threats to voters and have covered the corruptocrat Obama DOJ’s role in dropping default judgments against the Philly NBPP thugs ever since. In 2009, I reported on the “Colored Only: No Whites Allowed” sign at NBPP defendant Jerry Jackson’s house and the murderous rap propaganda posted by the NBPP Trenton chapter.

DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams blew the lid off the case in late June 2010 in the Washington Times and his appearances on Fox News with Megyn Kelly have provoked Shabazz’s poison tongue again. He threatened to go after limited government activists and moaning about “Zionist conspiracies” at Fox News.

In May 2010, Shabazz told his black power cohorts to prepare for war,” via Bunkerville.

Read this:

“With the rise of the Tea Party, the white-right and other racist forces. With gun sales nationwide at an all time high amongst whites, with a mood that is more anti-Black than any time recent, it is imperative that we organize our forces, pool our resources and prepare for war!” Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq. Convention Convener and Party Chairman.

Watch this:

Two weeks ago, the NBPP spearheaded the Trayvon Martin mob and put a bounty on George Zimmerman’s head.

Who are these people?

These are Barack Obama and Eric Holder’s people.

Race hustlers of a feather flock together.

More Stuff on Obama’s Past for the Mainstream Media to Ignore

by Doug Powers on Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

This is article 8 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

For much of the mainstream media, digging into Obama’s past has never been a “shovel ready job. But once again Andrew Breitbart is there to do the digging when the MSM conveniently mis-places their shovels:

New photographs obtained exclusively by BigGovernment.com reveal that Barack Obama appeared and marched with members of the New Black Panther Party as he campaigned for president in Selma, Alabama in March 2007.

The photographs, captured from a Flickr photo-sharing account before it was scrubbed, are the latest evidence of the mainstream media’s failure to examine Obama’s extremist ties and radical roots.

Here’s one of the pictures:

nullAt the gathering was Panther leader Malik Shabazz, of “kill white babies” and “kill some crackers” notoriety.

Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Yeah, I can’t believe Reverend Wright wasn’t there too.

Just one more story you won’t see on the network news tonight.

Breitbart closes:

The mainstream media should ask Obama a few questions before they rush to his defense:

What did he and Malik Zulu Shabazz say when they conversed that day –something that Shabazz has said happened?

Did the Obama campaign play any role in having the Panthers travel to support his presidential ambitions?

Who posted the Panthers’ endorsement on the Obama campaign’s website, and at whose instructions?

Who–finally–was the Malik Shabazz who visited the White House residence on July 25, 2009?

I doubt the MSM will rush to Obama’s defense. They simply won’t mention it until it goes away.

Michelle M. has more.

MALIK SHABAZZ: TIME TO RETHINK YOUR BUSINESS MODEL

by Stephen Levine on Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

This is article 7 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

We are seeing disruptions in our economy, our infrastructure and our culture – caused not because of capitalism; but because of corrupt, incompetent leaders who have perverted our way of life to serve themselves and their special interests.

Disturbing by design …

Gird Your Loins, This Is War Against Capitalist Bloodsucker America: New Black Panther President Shabazz Tells Harlem Audience To Fight War Here At Home” – Malik Shabazz, New Black Panther Party, 8/13/2011

Malik,

I know your power and profits come from your performance as a militant black activist capitalizing on the old “Black Panthers” name … but the uniform, the racist rants and the suggestion that our government owes “your people” something for historical wrongs continually upsets me – making me think you are every bit an ego-maniacal, power-hungry, media whore, cult builder like that other alleged man of the cloth, Louis Farrakhan.

Even worse your rants about Gadhafi and countries in Africa worry me because you are supporting absolute dictatorships where people have less freedom and human rights than they do here in the United States.

Should you deliver one of your fiery anti-government rants in those nations, your sorry ass would be in jail or worse – buried in an unmarked grave with hundreds of thousands of your fellow blacks.

Yes, there are still problems with racism in America – because of people like you who continue to stir up the hatred and dissent for your own personal power trip and financial benefit. You are a divider, not a uniter.

I don’t know about your idea of preserving a “cultural identity,” but that does not mean adopting unique names, outlandish dress, language and other traits that keep you from assimilating into the broader culture. By all means, respect your heritage – but protect your future. Join the mainstream. Few want to hire outlandish people who believe they have a divine right to affirmative action and “special treatment.”

At least “Calypso Louie” stresses independence, self-reliance and pride of self and being able to earn a living. He is also community-centric. Imagine the good that man could do if he could put aside the racist rants and the war-like rhetoric. There would be little or no need to require his own dedicated security force to protect his life.

Yes, I recognize that your parallel movements were rooted in socialism, whether or not you use the term black liberation theology, and extreme violence.

But that struggle, if it ever really existed,  is over. It is time for you to make a simple choice: become an American and leave a hyphenated-American behind or find another country where your rhetoric can serve some useful purpose.

If you are so preoccupied and concerned for Africa – go there and make a difference.  I know it might be personally difficult and perilous, but how about leading a government in Somalia or some other African community. Bring clean water, food and sanitation and good governance to your brothers abroad; but do it as a citizen of their nation.

I know you read this blog because you or someone using your name signed up to be on  my e-mail distribution list, so take this in the spirit it is meant.

Stop with the craziness and go after real injustice. No more racist bullshit and talk of conflict.

Judge to Obama DoJ: Justify withholding information on Black Panther scandal

by Jim Kouri on Thursday, August 18th, 2011

This is article 6 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

The Black Panther case dismissal and subsequent coverup, the lawsuits against Arizona and Alabama over their immigration enforcement laws, the Operation Fast and Furious firearms scandal, and other suspicious activity have caused many Americans to believe the Department of Justice is the most corrupt law enforcement agency in the United States today.

The New Black Panther Party's web site highlighted the group's endorsement of Obama for President. Credit: NBPP

A federal court on Thursday rejected a claim by President Barack Obama’s Justice Department for its withholding of documents related to its dismissal of a controversial case of voter intimidation based on race.

A Washington, DC-based public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption announced yesterday that a federal court rejected a claim of the attorney work product doctrine by the Department of Justice for documents prepared after the government dismissed its case against the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense on May 15, 2009, and ordered the agency to provide better justification for withholding those documents related to the aftermath of its decision to drop its complaint against several members of the New Black Panther Party who were accused of engaging in voter intimidation during the 2008 presidential campaign.

The ruling came in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Dep’t of Justice, No. 10-851(RBW)).

In his August 4, 2011, decision, U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton rejected the Obama Justice Department’s arguments that documents prepared after the government dismissed its case (against the New Black Panther Party on May 15, 2009) could be withheld under the “attorney work product privilege” exemption.  Judge Walton explained:

“Although an injunction remains in place in the New Black Panther Party case…the filing of the motion for voluntary dismissal largely marked the end of the litigation.  As such, the documents prepared subsequent to that event were not prepared in contemplation of litigation and are thus outside the scope of the work-product privilege.”

Because the case had essentially ended on May 15, 2009, Judge Walton found that “it is difficult to see how” the 24 documents created after May 15, 2009, “were prepared or obtained because of the prospect of litigation, which is the testing question the Court must answer in evaluating the DOJ’s work-product claim.”

Although Judge Walton found that the DOJ improperly withheld the 24 documents under the attorney work product doctrine, Judge Walton concluded that the documents were properly withheld under the deliberative process privilege, an entirely discretionary claim of exemption, according to Judicial Watch.

But, Judge Walton also found that the DOJ failed to satisfy its burden of showing that the 24 documents may be withheld in their entirety.  Under the deliberative process privilege, the DOJ may only withhold information that is “predecisional and deliberative.”  Judge Walton stated:

“As it stands now, the description of the DOJ’s segregation efforts is too general for the Court, and the plaintiff, to evaluate whether any factual material in these documents is ‘inextricably intertwined’ with the deliberative material and would thus permit the DOJ to withhold the documents in their entirety.”

Therefore, Judge Walton provided the DOJ a second chance to satisfy its burden by submitting “a renewed motion for summary judgment accompanied by a declaration or other documentation that solely addresses the segregability issue.”  If the DOJ fails to “provide adequate detail regarding why these documents cannot be segregated, the DOJ will be required to disclose the non-exempt portions to the plaintiff.”

DOJ’s renewed motion for summary judgment is due September 30, 2011.  Judge Walton hopes to rule by February 3, 2012, according to Judicial Watch’s Jill Farrell, director of public affairs.

There is no reason for the U.S. to let China pass us by

by Herman Cain on Sunday, May 1st, 2011

This is article 5 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

Many economists have estimated that if China’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) continues to grow at approximately 10 percent annually, and the United States continues to grow at its anemic rate of 2.5 percent or less, then China’s GDP will be bigger than ours in 15 to 20 years.

Last week, the International Monetary Fund released an analysis showing that if the differences in exchange rates between the two countries are factored out (purchasing power parity), then China will surpass the USA in economic strength in less than five years!

Neither of these observations sets well with the American psyche, and losing our economic dominance in the world is not who we are. But more importantly, China’s economic dominance would represent a national security threat to the USA, and possibly to the rest of the world.

Look at the facts. China has a billion more people than we do. They aspire to have a greater military might than we do. They currently hold over 25 percent of our national debt. And they have a different view of human rights and how to maintain peace in the world.

It would be naïve to think that China would not be tempted to flex its worldly might if it were bigger than us economically and militarily. And it would be equally naïve to think we could influence their actions on currency or anything else with diplomacy or two verses of Kumbaya.

Appeasement is not a strategy. As Ronald Reagan proved, strength is the strategy. Both the Bush and Obama administrations have shown that appeasement just buys the Chinese more time to talk until they can equal us in size and might.

Our China strategy should be three simple words. Outgrow them!

There is no doubt that we can outgrow China, but right now we lack the leadership with the courage to propose and implement aggressive economic growth strategies.

Liberals would have the public believe that lower taxes on workers and businesses are a bad thing, and that they only reward the rich and the fat corporate cats. They also have the public duped into believing that somehow reducing the tax burden on the earners and the producers of income doesn’t pay for itself.

Both assumptions are dead wrong. It’s just Class Warfare 101, and the class warfare warriors are winning for now. But I believe the public is smart enough to understand some Economics 101 to get us out of this stalled economic uncertainty.

We need to lower corporate tax rates, starting with dropping the top rate from 35 percent to 25 percent. We are the only nation on the planet that has not lowered its corporate tax rates in more than 15 years. And people wonder why so many jobs have left the USA. It’s not just cheaper labor in more business-friendly nations. It’s also taxes!

We must lower the capital gains tax rate to zero. Suspend taxes on repatriated foreign profits. Give every worker in America a 6.2 percent raise and every business a cost break by suspending the payroll tax for a year. Then!

Black Panthers gearing up for “National Day of Action”

by Jim Kouri on Saturday, April 23rd, 2011

This is article 4 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

The New Black Panther Party, a group described by many as being the largest organized anti-Semitic and racist Black militants in America, has used troubling language to describe several of the events scheduled to be held Saturday, April 23, in New York City, Washington, DC and about 40 other cities across the United States during its “National Day of Action.

The leaders of the NBPP have stated that opposing Jews and “Zionism” is one of the “pressing issues” they wish to address, among myriad other social and political issues.  Its leadership has also made threats of militant action in some cities, with one NBPP leader recommending that children attending the Philadelphia event wear bicycle helmets and another claiming that “we are trained and ready here in Killadelphia,” according to officials with the Anti-Defamation League in New York City.

The group’s organizers are calling the April 23 “Day of Action” its most ambitious endeavor since the Million Youth March of 1998, which ended with clashes with police in Harlem after a series of anti-Semitic and racist speakers took the podium.

While involved in flagrant voter intimidation on behalf of President Barack Obama, the Obama Justice Department refused to press charges and was exposed for being overly lenient with a militant group that espouses racial hatred. The NBPP endorsed Senator Obama during his presidential campaign.

According to the ADL, the New Black Panther Party has a long record of anti-Semitic and racist rhetoric, and the group continues to make clear its antagonism toward Jews and “Zionists.”

“Malik Zulu Shabazz, the anti-Semitic and racist leader of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), has sought to recast himself as a serious civil rights leader in recent years by cloaking his bigotry and intolerance in religious and civil rights principles and inserting himself in high profile, racially charged issues around the country,” according to ADL officials.

Shabazz’s — whose birth name is Paris Lewis – efforts have been supported, at times, by prominent members of the African-American community, which has provided him with a measure of status as a legitimate leader. This status is also reinforced by members of the news media who provide him with enormous coverage while ignoring his divisive record.

At 42-years old, Shabazz’s attempts to gain acceptance and respectability are tainted, however, by his long record of racism and anti-Semitism, which he continues to embrace. That record includes promoting conspiracy theories about Jewish foreknowledge of the September 11 terrorist attacks and canards that Jews control the media and were “significantly and substantially” involved in the transatlantic slave trade.

The group’s anti-Jewish agenda is clear from promotional materials and comments by NBPP leaders in the run-up to the events:

  • Promotional materials for the event include Zionism among the “pressing issues” necessitating the action.
  • Promotional materials for the event state that the event goals “must be achieved by any means necessary.”
  • The NBPP has cited opposition to Zionism and what it views as Jewish economic exploitation of Blacks as being among the reasons the NBPP is organizing the event: “It’s good to expose the manipulation…

Justice Department sued for records of suspicious contacts with NAACP

by Jim Kouri on Friday, March 25th, 2011

This is article 1 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

A Washington-based public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption revealed on Thursday that it had filed a lawsuit on March 9, 2011 against the Obama Department of Justice to obtain records detailing contacts between the DOJ and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People over a voter intimidation lawsuit filed against the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense.

In recent years the NAACP has had a pattern of leveling racially charged claims base on skimpy facts which are often difficult if not impossible to independently verify. This is especially true when they are trying to drum up headlines for their national convention, according to Rod Pennington, a freelance investigative reporter.
Kristen Clark, a representative of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, reportedly met with representatives from DOJ to discuss the lawsuit just prior to DOJ’s decision to drop the Black Panther case in spite of overwhelming evidence of voter intimidation by Black Panther Party members.

On November 2, 2010, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking the following information: Any and all records of communication between the [Justice Department's] Civil Rights Division and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Legal Defense Fund (including, but not limited to communications with Kristen Clarke, Director of Political Participation) concerning, regarding or relating to U.S. v. New Black Panther Party for Self Defense, et al. (09-CV-0065).  The time frame for this request is November 4, 2008 to May 22, 2009.

By law, the DOJ was required to respond to Judicial Watch’s FOIA request by December 3, 2010.  However, to date, no documents have been produced.  In fact, DOJ has failed to respond to Judicial Watch’s request in any manner.

The issue at the center of Judicial Watch’s lawsuit is whether or not the NAACP improperly influenced the DOJ, an independent law enforcement agency, to drop a lawsuit against members of the Black Panthers who allegedly threatened and intimidated white voters outside a polling station during the 2008 election.  A DOJ official testified that the NAACP lobbied against using civil rights statutes to protect anyone who is not considered a traditional minority, a position that reportedly found favor inside the Justice Department.

According to the October 22, 2010, edition of The Washington Post:  ”Interviews and government documents reviewed by The Washington Post show that the [New Black Panther Party] case tapped into deep divisions within the Justice Department that persist today over whether the agency should focus on protecting historically oppressed minorities or enforce laws without regard to race.”

This conclusion is consistent with testimony by another DOJ attorney, Christopher Coates, who testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, which conducted a year-long investigation of the New Black Panther Party scandal, that there exists at the DOJ “a deep-seated opposition to the equal enforcement of the Voting Rights Act against racial minorities and for the protection of whites who have been discriminated against.”

“Who is running the Justice Department?  That is what we’re trying to find out with this lawsuit.

Another day, another DOJ/NBPP lie; Plus: How Team Obama scrambled to respond to this little website operator

by Michelle Malkin on Monday, September 20th, 2010

This is article 2 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

Former DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams reports today on the latest revelations of DOJ obstructionism and deception over the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case.

At Pajamas Media, Adams writes:

Judicial Watch made an explosive announcement today about the Justice Department’s stonewalling in the New Black Panther voter intimidation case dismissal. Forced to bring a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit after DOJ rebuffed its public records request (so much for transparency), Judicial Watch obtained a privilege log from the DOJ last week.

It shows — in a rather dramatic way — that the DOJ has been untruthful about who was involved in the dismissal of the case.

In July, I complied with a subpoena and provided testimony to the United States Commission on Civil Rights. I did so in part because inaccurate statements had been made about the case by DOJ officials. Some of these statements falsely claimed that ethical rules mandated the dismissal of the charges against the New Black Panthers. This was nonsense.

But the real whopper? DOJ’s claim — repeated over and over again — that career civil servants were wholly responsible for the spiking of the case.

Today we learn, from the Department’s own records, that this claim is demonstrably false.

The privilege log produced in the FOIA litigation contains stunning entries. They show regular discussions and deliberations between the highest political officials inside the DOJ, including the deputy attorney general and the associate attorney general, about what to do with the case. This contradicts numerous statements made to Congress, the Civil Rights Commission, and to the public.

Some of these statements were under oath.

Mark Tapscott at the Examiner has more details about the privilege log and DOJ e-mail communications obtained by Judicial Watch.

Adams spotlights one interesting little nugget showing how the DOJ scrambled to react to my May 28, 2009 online exclusive that first revealed the shady dismissal of the NBPP case:

The logs show political officials Hirsch and Rosenbaum, and a press spokesperson, swinging into action as soon as the press reported the dismissal on May 28, 2009. “Response to Malkin” shows up on May 28 — they were coordinating a response to Michelle Malkin’s exclusive breaking the story of the outrageous dismissal. These communications are characterized by the log as “pre-decisional,” and therefore protected. Of course, the decision to dismiss the case had already been made. I can’t wait to see what the court does with that in the FOIA litigation. (Though I suppose the decisions about how to cover up the truth of the dismissal were in the formative, pre-decisional process.)

…Today was a very bad day for the Justice Department, but a worse day for our country. The privilege logs show what most Americans suspected all along: that the Department was lying, and the corrupt dismissal of the New Black Panther Case was made high up the political chain of command.

Let’s see if the Department’s defenders in the press and on the Civil Rights Commission keep repeating the lies.

Remember: Sunlight — relentless sunlight — is the best disinfectant. And the ballot box is the ultimate sanitizer.

Document drop: Breaking: DOJ Inspector General will investigate Obama voting rights record

by Michelle Malkin on Monday, September 13th, 2010

This is article 3 of 9 in the topic Black Panthers

Just obtained this letter from Justice Department Inspector General Glenn Fine to members of Congress informing them that he will open up a review of the Obama administration’s selective enforcement of civil rights laws by the Voting Section office of DOJ.

Big news. Good news. Fine is a veteran IG whose meticulous work I cited in-depth in Invasion. You know how the Obama bully boys have treated IGs. Prayers for Fine would be most appropriate.
